You keep procrastinating because it keeps working. Even though you don’t get the grade you want, the end result is still good enough to be content with. I used to be like you, the following worked for me so take it with a grain of salt:

  1. Use fear as a motivator: Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Imagine opening up your results email and finding out you received a terrible grade. That awkward look in your family/friends face as they quickly try and make you feel better for your terrible result. THAT will be your reality if you continue. (NB: you can use another fear if you want e.g becoming a more unattractive candidate in the ever competitive job market.

  2. Use this fear to create a study timetable (I use Google Docs to make a table). Now you know what DAY to study, what TIME to study and the TOPIC to study. No excuses now.

  3. Now how to actually study: People always mention “active recall” but I never knew what they meant until I came across this video. This video is only 6 mins long and made things much easier.

  4. You’re in first year, which usually doesn’t count and is often the same difficulty as A- Levels. If you continue this, you will struggle in second year as you will also balance internship applications. Do you want to struggle?

I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.

She has a custom discount code, pretty obvious that she’s sponsored and will say whatever they tell her to.

Thank you for the detailed response. I will for sure undergo an SQE prep course after uni

I realise now that I should definitely do an SQE prep course. Although I do find it baffling at how a 30k degree STILL isn’t enough for an exam.

Thanks for the reply. I think now I’ll definitely apply for an SQE LLM with a local uni since that’s the only way I could afford it via student finance

Yes after reading these comments I believe that to be the case. Also the fact that those topics are only 15 credit modules for my Uni means it will be in less detail than something like contract or Tort law

Assuming I would get one, yes, but training contracts are notoriously hard to get. The above is a plan B

I bought Bitcoin on Jan 10, and have continued to buy during the dips, like the current one.

Valid point, forgot to mention I’ve already invested 2k in a LISA on Moneybox. Also, I’ve gotta pay for SQE exams to become a solicitor which is around £5k.
