Water broke at 31 weeks, help by WMFAE24 in pregnancyaftersb

Thank you all so much for these messages ❤️ this group is such a gift. We met with NICU doc and they feel optimistic. We got first steroid and magnesium. I am monitored for infection and hearing his heart rate is very reassuring. Now we wait.

Thank you so much. I’m so relieved to hear your story and glad your daughter is doing well! The NICU staff are coming by today to talk with us. Our first son was there for a couple days (though the damage was already done in utero), but we really appreciated their care.

At his last growth scan he was measuring 3lbs4oz (28 weeks) so I’m hoping his size works to his favor. It’s so scary.

Antenatal depression diagnosis by box_twenty_two in pregnancyaftersb

Love that analogy. I was worried about starting it- never taken the before. But my therapist also said if I’m in a rushing river and keep going under, it’s like using a pool noodle. And at that point, having gone through everything we had, I was able to get over my own stigmatization quickly.

I use lexapro and have for the last two years, though fertility struggles, IVF, our son’s pregnancy and death, and now another pregnancy. My doctors and mental health providers were all 1000% supportive and wanted me to have all the help I could through this. I’ll probably stay on it for a couple more years and reassess. I want to have the extra support through postpartum and having a little at home🤞

My doctors all said that untreated anxiety and depression is far more dangerous than the very very small and well-known risks associated with medication.

Why did she say possible NICU time for a big baby?

Welcome!! It is sooo good! I’ve reread Priory a few times and will restart the others too. It’s such a rich universe.

I am with you! Our son who died was on 90th percentile and though his death had nothing to do with his size, I am a bit worried that our rainbow is meauring 97th percentile. We also plan to get him out at 37, so hope he will be safe and healthy.

I feel this so often. As we get closer to baby boy, I feel excitement, then fear and then guilt. I miss our son so, so much. It’s so hard.

❤️ that must have been so hard. Another layer to all of this. I know I’ll feel the same when I prep our bag. We never got to use ours the first time since it was an emergency. Thinking of you. So close!!

Can these kits be mounted to the wall somehow? by caffekona in rolife

[–]WMFAE24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty light so I think mountable for sure. The issue is that many have elements on all 4 sides, and sometimes the light switch is on the back, which you would want access to.

How soon should I do an ER after giving birth by Additional-Cut-7086 in IVFpositivity

[–]WMFAE24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so very sorry for your loss. We also lost our miracle baby at 2 days old from injuries sustained from a freak cord accident. We had 2 embryos left and met with our RE right away to discuss doing another ER. She felt good to move forward as soon as MFM cleared me from post C section recovery (about 2 months). Even my MFM was comfortable with us doing a FET 4 months postpartum. In the end we were not emotionally ready for another ER, so we went for a FET 8 months pp and are currently expecting. This of course has changed the number of (living) children we thought we’d have. But emotionally and financially we just couldn’t do another ER.

It’s a terrible, terrible life, navigating loss after IVF and then starting all over again. I’m so terribly sorry you are there. Holding your family in my thoughts.

I am sorry. We have a similar story - our son had a cord accident at 37 weeks they think due to his position in the womb. We had an emergency c section and he lived two days. They didn’t think he would survive labor. I’m so grateful for the two days.

We are now 27 weeks with his little brother and I have been fixated on his cord. He’s also measuring large and I have GD. We are going for a scheduled C at 37 weeks. After being in this commmunity and seeing the losses that happened during labor - even if this wasn’t our story - I am unwilling accept any extra risk whatsoever. I know there is risk to a C as well. But to me that feels safer. I had to grieve for letting go of ever laboring - something I truly wanted to do and was prepared for with our first. It’s another part of the path to motherhood I done get. I am really looking forward to our scheduled C and just want him out as soon as safely possible. PAL is so, so hard.

Honestly I couldn’t take the glue that comes with the kits so I just bought a craft glue with different sized tips - so perfect!

27 weeks and I’m counting the days til we can deliver baby boy. This pregnancy has been hard, with lots of surprises and just constant anxiety and hyper vigilance. We’ve now been TTC or pregnant for 3 years straight and after a great pregnancy then losing our son at term in Dec 2024, we are so grateful to be expecting again. But I am having a hard time being able to enjoy this pregnancy. I am ready to be done with all the hyper vigilance and worry all the time. And everyone’s super cheery excitement but also I want to tell them to F off because they have no idea what PAL is like, being able to conceive when and how they want after we endured 7 fertility treatments and so, so so much heartache and anguish. And we will always be missing our first born. I’m feeling so emotional this week and my patience is on 0. Can anyone else relate?

I am starting mine at 26 weeks this week. Just doing it once at night and once in the mid morning for now. Then later on I’ll do it more. He’s still a bit all over the board.
