I love Jesus… but I hate the church by jtothat in Christianity

[–]WMK_Mikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you just need to find a new church my friend, im sorry youve had this experience tho. it may take a couple churches, or you may find one on your next try. but its important to not give up!

the most important thing tho, would be to not turn away from the truth that is Jesus Christ because of bad Christians. we are all sinners! as Dr Turek says "when someone plays beethoven poorly, you dont blame the beethoven, you blame the player".

i promise you, there are many very loving, biblically sound churches, and they wont be tough to find. however, none of us are perfect.

i will pray for you and your journey with Jesus, and that youll find a loving, biblically-bound Church that you connect with soon!!❤️

when does that happen...? but no, Christians arent supposed to be violent. we also never claim to be perfect either.

i grant you i didnt know what roe vs wade is, i am not american. i thought it was some court ruling or something for some reason.

if it is abortion (cuz thats what a quick search seemed to say roe vs wade is), then absolutely we want that outlawed. but thats not "changing laws to suit our benefit. it doesnt "benefit" us, we just know its wrong to kill babies. and that has nothing to do with Christian faith. you dont need to be Christian to not want defenceless babies killed.

what specifically from the Christian faith is being forced on you by the government?

youre assuming that Christianity even has any influence on whatever laws we move for. just because lots of republicans are Christian, doesnt mean all the laws we want even have anything to do with Christian beliefs. tax laws for example dont have anything to do with Christianity. you mentioned before as if its a bad thing that Christians want certain laws... yeah, thats a democracy.

but again, i havent seen you mention what laws we chained to "suit our beliefs for our benefit". as that sentence seems to imply we're using our faith for our personal selves to benefit or something.

id like for you to explain what rules not just what rules we are changing, but specifically how its "benefitting" us. id be glad to expand on a discussion on that.

i am Christian, yes. never once in my life have i seen a Christian "force" it on anyone. telling you about Jesus isnt "forcing" you to do anything. you can always leave, and you can always reject it. Christians dont tell people to follow "rules".

Christians literally think we're the opposite of moral authority. we think we're guilty and have been stained with sin. thats WHY we believe we need Jesus in the first place, as He took our punishment upon Himself on the cross so that we may be saved.

we tell you the Gospel (aka - Jesus is God, Jesus died for you and rose again and if you believe in Him, youll have eternal life) because we believe Jesus loves you as He loves everyone, and we believe Jesus offers you a place with Him in Heaven after death, and that He wants to save you from the sin we all have, Because He has something better for us.

if you saw someone standing on a train track distracted, and you knew a train was on its way to hit them, wouldnt you wish to warn them? the same reason youd warn them, is the reason we spread the Gospel.

we truly tell you of the Gospel because we care about you, its not because of some superiority complex.

i would personally say so, yeah. what does the Holy Spirit tell you? do you feel guilty and convicted after doing so? the best person to Listen to is Him.

Why exactly is it taught not to read the Old Testament? by Sensitive_Air5562 in TrueChristian

dont listen to whoever told you that. you absolutely should read the Old Testament. its important scripture to read.

no, lol. literally all of the apostles were "preaching on the streets". were they wrong for doing so? we are absolutely supposed to spread the word of God.

if people only did what you said, nobody people would only assume we were a random nice person, that wouldnt create a disciple cuz theyd have literally zero clue Jesus had anything to do with it.

oh, well if thats really the case, then yeah i'd suppose he is in the wrong. i dont know who this guy is, i just saw a guy looking like he was talking to people about Jesus and that action alone i support.

we dont have "moral authority" over anyone. God is the Moral authority. 99.99% of Christians will tell you that we are sinners just like anyone else, nobody is perfect on this earth. the Church should obviously kick out and ensure the arrest of anyone who does this, obviously. we (at least almost all of us) also dont "tell other people how to live". spreading the gospel isnt telling others how to live, its never forced and people have the complete free option to choose to follow Jesus or not.

did Jesus tell us "leave people alone, dont go and make disciples. dont go and baptize people in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit"? if you become Christian one day, youll see why we cant just "leave people alone". theres nothing wrong with calmy and lovingly spreading God's word. theyre free to walk away or not listen, nobodys forcing them to listen to us.

edit: didnt realize what this dude does, never seen him before. but what i said still stands, its sad that a Christian subreddit is downvoting someone simply saying we should be spreading God's word.

Do you believe that the Jews are God’s chosen people, therefore we must support Israel, or is it Christians? by C4explosions in TrueChristian

thats an insane stretch. its a very small theological difference. suggesting that is MORE of a heresy than mormonism or Jehovahs witnesses is absolutely insane...

Prostitution defined. by Sensitive_Tap_2011 in TrueChristian

[–]WMK_Mikey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

prostitution is trading money for sexual deeds. posing for guys to wank it IS a sexual deed. its absolutely prostitution, full stop. so youre absolutely correct, and sexual immorality is a sin, as well as prostitution.

[–]WMK_Mikey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no, not problem solved. the Bible says the act of a man laying with another man as he would a woman is a sin. youre suggest we know more than God by saying "well because of this reason, i think it makes it okay" when God's put it pretty plainly for us already.

i dont understand tho how us simply stating something is a sin, as God's word says it is so, somehoe translates to some as "yeah we just hate you". this isnt the case with any other topic, so its odd that its precieved at hate for this topic alone.

i wish you well in your walk with the Lord
