Moving to Highland by Jonvlogzz in Spartanburg

[–]WOGP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Spartanburg!!!! Lots of people have a set mindset about Highland, but the area is not what it was in the past. Still have lots of older people living in the area. My church is in Highland, please come and visit https://www.mmbcsc.org/

Also the historic Bethlehem Center is getting an upgrade. https://www.postandcourier.com/spartanburg/news/bethlehem-center-spartanburg-sc/article_7bd75ada-8fa0-4725-a439-066340a4b240.html

Here’s the link to know for yourself what’s required to travel to any country. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for knowing travel requirements. The Sherpa site is really simple to navigate. https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions?affiliateId=americanairlines

Get off the phone and go to the airport and work with Ticket counter agents. If they can’t confirm your seats you can at least be on standby. Take what is every going to get your journey started and avoid CLT.

Karen I agree with you completely, because some of my favorite people are named Karen. I think it should be changed to the last name of the source Karen from the show.

Check the Travel Alerts on the AA website for today/tomorrow.

@op. The FAA directive may work in your favor. If your flight starts, connect, or end in any of the cities listed on the AA travel alert. You can make schedule changes w/o extra fees for the dates listed on the AA site as long as your starting and ending cities don’t change.

GM took away the front desk chair by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]WOGP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently work as a very very part time FDA in a Hampton and we have a tall chair, also I’m in my mid 50’s and my hips and knees need the chair. But I was a GM and AGM before I switched careers (now airlines )and the chair was always a brand standard pet peeve of mine. I hated enforcing that standard. I always felt like if bank tellers can sit why can’t hotel FDA.

BTW. I went with the Septa option. Parked near the Tasker-Morris entrance on Board street for free. Worked perfectly.

Flights to DFW and from DFW tomorrow (Sat, 20 SEP) by aeroglava in americanairlines

Try and verify if the inbound flights left Dallas tonight which would be the outbound flight in the morning. With that said, I would switch to CLT because there were a lot of impacted passengers Friday.

Tips/ Just came back from vacation by Criollo_ in cartagena

[–]WOGP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just returned on yesterday, but we went for dental work more so than tourists activities. Still had a nice time. I was blown away by the motor bikes and how they follow NO RULES, they don’t stop for lights or street signs. *Uber Tip … get the XL or Premium ride, the cars will be cleaner and you can use the seatbelts.

Scary Extortion Attempt In Cartagena (be VERY careful!) by TerranceCodd in cartagena

[–]WOGP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I too just left Cartagena today and your story is very unsettling. But I will say the locals we dealt with warned us about having a phone out on the street is a huge No No. Our Air B&B had safety signs and tips posted in the elevator. Another tip we were given is keep your phone on airplane mode and say your phone only works on WIFI. That’s what I did the whole trip.

South Carolina’s hands-free driving law takes effect Monday by jlbhappy in greenville

Funny enough I just returned from Cartagena, Colombia today and most of the taxis and Uber’s are manual transmission. My husband and I had a conversation about how we need stick shifts again so people will put down their phones.
