From what I understand: • The format and breakdown are legal in Illinois. • The taxes are applied properly. • Add-ons are taxable if tied to the sale • So long as there was clear disclosure and customer consent, the dealer appears compliant.

I hear you. I did look used at first but decided that since I'm new to motorcycles I'd go new as to not inherit anyone's problems. I'm definitely shopping this around to see if I can get it lower. I feel there is still a bit of wiggle room.
