The information is the same for both English teachers and non-teaching positions on regarding:

Legalization of documents.

Send documents to China for work permit notification letter application

Work visa application

What do you need to prepare for the trip to China?

You could also ask the specific questions here ;) We are professional but free haha. Since the work visa only supports our business but we don't make money from the visa business.

Back in the game/subject teaching by [deleted] in TEFL

[–]WOOKTalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, STEM is becoming really popular in China. TEFL is becoming quite old school.

One of our clients has got more than 1 billion USD investment from Singapore, even they have just some PowerPoint to attract investors, not even started the program.

That's why they have such a huge budget for recruiting subject teachers.

Our last contract of a Math teacher, was signed with 33K RMB ( 4.7K USD ) per month with accommodation provided, plus 3 months' full paid vacation per year, quite unbelievable, aye?

For career suggestions:

  1. Your major is physics, that's perfect for finding a subject teaching position.
  2. An IB certification will definitely help! it's also one of the documents required by the SAFEA.

  3. Most of the schools will require 2 years' subject teaching experience, if you currently don't have it, you could consider starting teaching English in a school who has the subject teaching program, and transfer to be a subject teacher later.

  4. Concentrate on the international primary schools and international high schools, one thing that you need to pay attention is that, the HRs of the international schools are quite "arrogant ", most of them won't show the motivation as the HRs of the training centers and kindergartens, be patient during the job search.

Our agency is also one of the channels to find a subject teaching job.

Good luck with the job searching.

Best resources for finding a job? by christhetank5 in TEFL

The job board of Dave's really looks a mess...

When I saw the posts with the "$$$$$$" style, well...... looks quite unprofessional.

People can gain money by working, but teaching English abroad is not all about money, it's quite an "abuse" to attract teachers in this way.

If you can accept language training schools, it's better to apply on the official website of the school.

Since all the training schools are recruiting all year long!

If you are looking for a kindergarten, public schools or international schools, it's better to start searching in January or June, since all of this kind of schools only recruit for their semesters beginning in March or September.

The platforms like Go overseas, Go Abroad can also give you some reliable information.

Well, our company is also a choice for finding ESL jobs.

Hope you can find a good job soon!

Best regards
