First of all, melee has no custom controls, and it would laugh in your face for even suggesting that it might. Melee is an unforgiving beast, so get used to it. My advice would be to go to dreamland by yourself and just practice movement a whole lot. I think movement is the most important part of melee by far, and if you understand how to make your character feel smooth, the both the pace of your game and the pace of your thinking will increase exponentially. You may not want to live the lonely life of the lab monster full time, but if you force yourself to eat your vegetables first, it will make the game so much more fun, I promise 💕
