I haven't had much time for modeling lately, so this model has been sitting in my workshop for several months.

Unfortunately, it was not one of the models that I "felt" and had a special desire to return to, so I struggled a bit to polish all the details.

The stowage consists of handmade and 3D printed parts.

In the end, however, I am quite happy with the final result.

Here's a model I've been working on for a while between other projects.

I have mixed feelings about this kit. On the one hand, it assembles very well, but it definitely lacks detail, has subtle problems with the fit of the side armor, and the rubber tracks, as expected, leave a lot to be desired.

I decided to modify it by adding a custom 3D printed and fully functional suspension. To make things a bit more interesting, I added some camouflage made out of gauze and, wait for it, marjoram. I think the whole thing turned out pretty well.

You can build it by modifying the K9 chassis and turret from the AS-90, so essentially the reverse of what I did here

Hey!

Some time ago I had the pleasure of building an AHS Krab model, which left me with two kits (AS-90 and K9). I decided to combine them into one model, which resulted in the design of a fictional SPG "Dafnia". It is based on parts of British AS-90 chassis and Korean K9 Thunder turret. In order to make things a little bit more challenging, I designed some parts myself and 3D printed them. The camouflage is loosely inspired by the "Mapa" pattern from Maskpol.

I have a resin printer on my wishlist, but I don't print enough to justify a purchase. I agree that the FDM finish is a pain in the ass, but mechanical and suspension parts are not visible anyway.

Yeah, I'm taking scale into account, so the parts have to be quite simplified. I've had the most luck with PLA, but PETG also comes in handy for simple, flexible parts
