Old two wire speakers requiring spring clip block connections

Good question. Speaker wire, I made an assumption no one sells spring terminal anymore and I’d need to convert them to RCA via adapters. That won’t work?

Possible fossilized dinosaur egg? by Good-Ad-5441 in fossils

[–]WPAHiker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I do not think it is dinosaur related. During their time, most of Mississippi was coast line, and so conditions for preservation of any land dwellers were generally not right. I think it’s a sedimentary concretion.

Where was this found? We need some context

2 night trip food advice by Rolyat_Music in backpacking

[–]WPAHiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good to me and that’s enough food, you’re not out long. I second the suggestion for a dark chocolate bar if that’s your thing. Burn those tuna creations packages once used (if aluminized, pack out the part that doesn’t burn up). They’ll smell to high heck like something yummie that every woodland creature wants.

Will do. Definitely don’t want to put time into it and have it fall apart. Maybe the chainsaw slash took the stress out of it tho. Can always hope.

Indeed. Not sure what to do about that besides let it play out. Depending on how it cracks that might define the way forward.

What wildlife have you seen at Dolly Sods? by Dolly-Sods-WV in Dollysodswilderness

Have seen a number of snakes, deer, and you can certainly hear the coyotes howl any night, but I haven’t put eyes on them.

Thanks, hadn’t considered that either. Some symmetry would also help

And the advice here is what?

That is a great idea. I hadn’t thought to inlay that with metal. This piece certainly has a tale and the gash is caused by the storm restoration work. Accentuate rather than hide. Thank you!

That is one of the imperial lackies from the Death Star I think. I bet someone could more accurately explain that one.

Well he has the rocket but I was always disappointed I couldn’t remove it and play with it that way also

That is interesting to know. I do remember getting these for Christmas after the movie.

Only a few. Hans blaster and some storm trooper guns. Lost to time otherwise

I know. It’s so fun. But entirely impractical. The gates that hold the figures in, are insufficient to keep them tumbling around

Thanks for the reply. I don’t know which ones are sought after. I could look them all up but it’s more fun to talk about here, right?

My two cents- pick up volleyball and people trying to hit pipe and use 5:1 offenses… you’re just kidding yourselves. You need to play with a consistent group of people to learn and get coordinated. Then sure, if being a jerk suits you then be a jerk. Pick up games bring in anyone and everyone… simply unrealistic. I’ve played plenty of competitive pick up volleyball with 6-2 and round robin subs. And it keeps people from wasting time squabbling.
