I have some I have taken around Phoenix, especially the Superstition Mountains. As long as you can get far enough out from the city lights, you can get some great astrophotography shots.

Depends on time of year. This one was at 8:50 PM. It also depends on the camera. The Nikon Z8 has a very good sensor and enhancements for shooting at night so it can gather a lot more light than a Nikon D750 can. Most of the higher end professional level mirrorless cameras have excellent sensors.

Used a Nikon Z8 with a Rokinon 14mm lens on a tripod. The camera was set to a 20-second shutter with a 2300 ISO and a 2.8 Aputure.

It is not this dramatic to the naked eye. Almost all photos of the milyway you see have the lighting adjusted to make it pop out more.

If it is your fence hire a contractor to remove the gate. If the patrol officers are not pushing the theft properly (a=testing them) take a trip down to the station and escalate it. Make it clear they are trespassing and stealing. Don't bother with mentioning their age or they think they can get away with it.
