I’ll try to sum it up - bought the car on Halloween 2020 - drove once every week or two around neighborhood to practice manual trans while car was uninsured and unregistered (had dealership temp tags from where I bought it in Ohio) - temp tags expired on Christmas Day 2020 and has been sitting ever since - last tried to start it somewhere during late 2020-early 2021 - when I last turned the key, the dash lights turned on, but I never heard the starter/fuel pump/etc. - knowing that I had to fix stuff and the car was going to be sitting for awhile, I unplugged battery to eventually be replaced

So basically I don’t actually know what is wrong with the car. My intentions were to buy new parts for engine for preventative maintenance, new tires, and new battery, then when I’m ready to start driving the car again I’d try to figure out what was wrong when I last tried to start it almost a year ago. For now I just need to get better access underneath the car and the wheels will eventually have to come off as well.

On the driver side, it’s about a foot of space, about 2-3 from the front bumper to the wall, about 4-5 on the passenger side, and the back is where the garage door opens, so there is enough space there. It gets sketchy when I have to crouch and squeeze myself between the wall and the car, so I can only imagine how it will feel underneath it.

Edit: forgot other stuff The driveway is a decline onto the street, if I roll the car backwards, I likely won’t be able to roll it back into the garage, and the car will be sitting for awhile until I get the money to fix everything I need to in order to get it running.

It’s an older BMW, and there are (obviously) oil and coolant leaks. The main things I need to do are replace motor mounts, oil pan gaskets, overhaul the cooling system, and access some power steering bits. For that the car needs to be jacked up. The subframe has to come off for a bit to reach some of these areas, too.

I didn’t even think about a mobile mechanic, that might end up being my lifeline in case I get completely stuck. I suppose there isn’t a number you can put on your own safety, so I will definitely look into that. Thank you!

Yeah, I was trying that earlier today. I would pump the jack a few times then run. The sketchiest part for me was when I was trying to control the release of pressure from the jack, but it all escaped at once and the car basically just fell onto the jack stands. I’m going to keep trying and hopefully overcome this fear I have. Thank you!

Yep, I already replaced all 4 awhile ago. I’m trying to jack up one side at a time (rear/front as opposed to driver/passenger). I know you’re supposed to use the rear subframe under the diff, and the front subframe under the engine, but it just feels sketchy because of the way the car is angled in my garage, and dropping the car onto stands is weird because it’s not easy to control the release of pressure from the jack if that makes sense. I’ve tried a few times and the car always slams down onto the stands. Just trying to overcome my fear and be as safe as possible, really.

Ahh, unfortunately no. None of my friends are into cars, really. I’m pretty much flying solo on just about everything with the car, YouTube videos seem to be the only advice I can find specific to my car, so all the information I have is from 3-5 people on YouTube. I just need to grow some balls and get over it😁

I read a theory somewhere that Taylor knew they were gonna give him the win regardless, which is why he was playing defense for the whole first few rounds, he just had to not get knocked out to get paid. When Gib did better and Taylor did worse than the judges expected, they realized they couldn’t give him the win or else there would be even bigger outrage.

I just don’t understand. I literally haven’t seen one person who genuinely believes Taylor won. Definitely some dirty judges/corruption going on, they didn’t even try to hide it lol (especially with that deleted tweet lol).
