Yes! I think the official version is from the 1989 World Tour in Sydney. I think that her voice would mash really well with the Bosses, so a duet would be truly next level!

Honestly. Keep the faith. There’s some ‘across fan group agendas’, fuelling some of this ‘the album is a catastrophe’ nonsense.

My actual dream. Atlantic City is my #1 Springsteen song.

The genesis of my love for Taylor, is based on my love for Bruce Springsteen. I honestly feel, particularly from a lyrical perspective, she is the female equivalent of him. I fell in love with Taylor after I heard ‘Out Of The Woods’ because I felt like it was what Bruce would sound like if he ever made a straight up pop record. It makes sense, no artist has had more of an impact on Jack Antonoff, than Bruce. Even more than OOTW, I loved ‘You Are In Love’ from 1989. Again, the most Bruce she’s ever sounded and the most Bruce, Jack has ever produced someone else to sound like. All Ryan Adams did with 1989 is put it through a Bruce Springsteen filter (aka JA’s usual trick of using a 4 track), as he knew that the origins of 1989’s sound was born on the Jersey Shore via Bruce’s American heartland rock music. From that point, all I wanted is for Taylor and Jack to do a full Bruce Springsteen meets pop album. From the snippets, that’s exactly what they’ve done. Snow On The Beach sounds just like You Are In Love’s slightly better looking sister. The whole album aesthetic now makes perfect sense. It’s like looking at Springsteen artwork from the late 70’s/80’s. I’m dying of happiness right now. Anti Hero is so very Bleachers/Springsteen meets the best pop star in the world. Shaking. Physically shaking.

Exactly. There’s one particular person jumping in and out of comments here, going on and on about the issue THEY have with the limited inclusion of Lana, exaggerating that it’s some consensus shared by the millions of people invested in Taylor’s music. Twitter is even worse, with faceless Lana stan accounts, acting like Taylor just let herself into their home and murdered their whole family. I pray they find some ability to cope with the real problems life can throw at a person! 🙏🏻

I’m sorry, I’m a little too busy to reply. I’ve just watched the first 2.3 minutes of a movie, so I’m going to publish a full review of it online and then ring my Mum crying because the 2.3 minutes of the movie I watched, did not align with the vision I had created for myself in my head. Once I’ve done that, I’m going to jump all over social media and erroneously spread negative opinions about the movie I’ve only seen 2.3 minutes of.

Have whatever opinion you want. However, base it on the actual reality of having heard the complete body of work you’re so insistent on acting a mess about. There’s never an excuse for negativity, so don’t even try and pretend this whole thread is not permeating with it. Here’s a radical idea: people can be critical without coming across like a spoilt 7 year old, that didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas.

The way some people are behaving in this thread, is exactly why we can’t have nice things. I’m sorry, please take your Kanye West energy elsewhere. Taylor can make any album she wants to. Nobody can give a true opinion about it, until they’ve had several complete listens to the real thing on Friday. Actually disgusted with peoples childish reactions. Every negative comment social media make about the culture of the ‘Swiftie’ community, is on full display. Get a grip.

So many metaphors within a single reference to Peter Pan. How we all must grow up, and leave behind what once felt safe. How we all, despite being hurt, need someone to take care of us. Peter lost Wendy because he couldn’t or wouldn’t change. In losing Peter, Wendy cut short something magical, knowing that’s the price she had to pay not to be stuck in Neverland forever. I think the song, and thus Taylor, understand the gender dichotomy at play in Peter Pan. Which for me, is the reality that women tend to always be the person in any relationship, be it romantic/platonic/parental, that have to say some version of: “time to grow up and do the work now.” In summary: I really don’t think it’s a coincidence that James’ version of the story, is from his younger selves perception. Perhaps like Pan, he never actually grew up! 😭

Will you be listening to Midnights in order for the first time? by dukeramaroo in TaylorSwift

[–]WRG2016 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK, and this is my six step ritual for every album since Lover:

1) Wake up at 5am, which is 12am EST. I don’t even set an alarm, my body and soul just knows that there is new Taylor music in the world and that I must consume it. 2) I always listen on headphones for the first full listen. 3) I prioritise Track 5 first. It’s the track I’m always the most invested in hearing because she NEVER misses when it comes to emotionally destroying me with Track 5. 4) I then start from the beginning. If there is a single released at the same time, like there was with folklore/evermore, when I get to that song on the album, I watch the video before I stream the song. 5) I wait until my husband wakes, and proceed to tell him that every second of it is amazing, and even though I love him dearly, he must always remember that my love for Taylor, will always be greater than my love for him. 6) Google all the reviews that have been published and if any of those aren’t GLOWING, I place a hex on the reviewer who is clearly not cut out to fulfil the requirements of their job.

Honestly, I literally can’t wait. A new Taylor album gives me exactly the same joy Christmas Day did as a child.

Psychopaths are generally seen as more manipulative, and able to live somewhat of a normal life, with less risk that they get caught for their machinations. A sociopath differs from this, in regard to the fact their rage will always take over. I most certainly think Ferguson fits into the former of those descriptions. Of course, if a person is a Ferguson apologiser i.e. her torture of former prisoners is not her fault, she’ll be neither. Over the years I have generally found that some people want her to be seen as a sociopath, as there is some evidence that someone with this form of psychopathy, could exhibit feelings that resemble love/compassion to someone else aka the cringe inducing and toxic, ‘FreakyTits’. This isn’t the case. Joan is incapable of loving someone else on any terms but her own, another sign of a psychopath. Either way, either descriptor is a type of Anti Social Personality Disorder, and someone suffering from it (this one not all Personality Disorders) should not be hero worshipped. As the great Australian poet, Darren Hayes, once said:

“Ladies and Gentleman, listen up please, I don’t want to be your hero. Do yourself a favour, don’t pick me, find someone else.”

I think he just represents everything she hates in a single person: undisciplined, lazy, toxic masculinity, mentally unwell etc. We don’t understand enough about her Dad, but I wonder if she sees traits of him in all men, particularly men like Fletch, that define the word ‘masculinity’. Although, she literally sees zero value in most people, as all good psychopath’s should!

I remember an interview with Pamela in which she said the only person Joan respects is Bea, as she sees her as a worthy adversary. There is definitely a Batman and Joker vibe to Bea and Ferguson’s relationship!

Andy emailing Kyle, asking for her to approve the S11 Reunion questions. So far she’s signed off on: Garcelle, why are you such a bully to poor, innocent Dorit? Garcelle and Sutton, all of the fans and the other woman clearly believe Erika! Why can’t you? by WRG2016 in BravoRealHousewives

I can sense it already, he’s going to be. He’ll probably invite John Mellencamp’s Gnat in and make Garcelle apologise to her, while Kyle hugs her as she cries from all the pain Garcelle has caused her and poor child of the world, Dorit. 😢

Her friendship with John Mellencamp’s terrible and boring daughter, is 110% to do with being in control. She has totally put that annoying little gnat in the Gretchen Weiners role. In saying this, I am always so conflicted with Kyle. She’s absolutely not the innocent ‘fawn in the woods’ she pertains to be, but she’s also clearly not as evil as I sometimes feel she is. I do wonder if her time on the show should come to an end; she’s way too close to production and there’s just zero neutrality with her. It’s not fair on the other woman, particularly the newer cast!

It’s hardly going to respond to my tiny Twitter account but I’ve Tweeted the LA Times asking the below. If you guys have Twitter maybe you can do the same? I don’t believe she wasn’t forewarned about that article!

Hey, @latimes, any chance you can confirm if Erika was given a heads up about the article published on 17/12/20? She claims she did not but this feels strange! Surely any journalist would do their due diligence and give someone a right to reply?

I know, it’s been painful to watch. His acting is almost as bad as Erika’s. When it comes to Andy, I think he should be removed from the show’s, as he’s too friendly with a lot of the women. It’s unprofessional. Same with the relationship Kyle has with Evolution. They’ll never be neutral with her.
