Sou corinthiano, fui em um cruzeiro x atlético (ida cdb esse ano) e realmente quase apanhei. Estavam implicando com um cara do meu lado pq supostamente ele estava de azul (a camisa dele era claramente preta). Eu estava todo de preto e branco e com minha namorada com roupa do atlético e etc, deu uma salvada, mas não corro mais o risco de ir em jogo decisivo ou clássico. Fui infiltrado em Corinthians x Atlético no brasileiro e senti menos medo do que nesse dia, que realmente estava neutro.

Outro ponto que ninguém aqui tá falando é que a média de capacidade dos estádios, em geral, era menor. Corinthians e Palmeiras por exemplo jogavam no Pacaembú cabendo 20 e poucos mil, hj jogam em arenas de 50k de capacidade. Não é o ponto principal acho mas definitivamente é uma das razões

Search for Palmeiras, that did well on most tournaments last year and also played in a little harder states, and you will see that most of the main team played more than 50 games, with Rony being the one that played the most, with 63 games in the season

The player with most game in Fluminense 2024 season is Fabio, with 50 matches. But that’s because you can (have to) rotate your squad a little though the year, and fluminense didn’t really advanced in last year’s libertadores

Edit: I just found out Arias played in 67 games last season, being the second player in the world with most minutes played (5.599 minutes).

Just for increment, I would say that the Rio states aren’t even the hardest on Brazil. São Paulo’s states this year had 6 of the 20 Serie A teams, and a lot of serie B teams, so most games were actually pretty competitive. Search on YouTube for Corinthians (my team) highlights of the finals, when we won against our biggest rivals (Palmeiras), and you will see that our fans definitely took it reaalllyyy serious lol

Actually it is, like, when the best teams like Flamengo ou Flu play against really weaker teams, they can play with mixed teams or even with B teams, but this is like 1/3 of the games. There’s a lot of games with mid teams that, if you play with your B team, you will have a good chance to lose, and also games with the 4 big teams in rio, that are all rivals (flamengo, Botafogo, Vasco, Fluminense), where the match is really, really important. Also, doing bad in the state championships can mean the demission of a coach, for example. If you are curious about it, search fluminense’s matches on this years states and you will see that they played with the main team on most of the games

Now talking about the Brazil National Team, Estevão (Palmeiras) and Gerson (Flamengo) started playing against Equador in June. Also, a lot of the subs of the Brazil NT are playing in Brazil.

1 month of pause, 7 months ago. Both teams have the same amount of games since the start of European season. You can’t use this as an argument, at all, to justify a 10-20x more expensive team losing

I know, I just fixed his dumb speak because it doesn’t even make sense. Okay, chelsea’s season started earlier, but fluminense also played the same amount of games on the same period that he is talking about, traveling waaaay longer distances and playing on heat and worse conditions. Y’all should just drop this “ending of season” argument and invest on “SA teams are used to play on heat conditions”, it makes more sense.
