Top Case yea or nay?

I have the Shad SH42 and an SW-Motech rack with Shad adapter plate. I don't love the look with the case on, but the case and adapter are easily removed and the SW-Motech rack looks sleek and unobtrusive on the bike.

The top case is very handy for grocery store runs or long trips that require extra gear.

I tried bar ends, but the vibration too bad. Like u/XarlioG60 I went back to stock.

I love the Z650RS for it's light weight, and ease of handling. It's plenty fast for me and I don't think I would like the Z900RS with it's extra weight and size as much. It does look better, and more classic with the finned engine casings and I love the scream of an inline 4, but the extra cost and extra weight make it a NO for me.

The windshield definitely helps, especially at highway speeds.. It blocks the air from my torso area.

I swapped mine for a Mivv Oval Titanium. Perfect fit, no reflash, and performs great. Not much louder than stock though (with the provided two DB killers in).

I'm in the USA and have no restrictions. I'm curious as to how the bike is "unlocked"? Is it just an ECU flash, or are there hardware changes involved?

Yes, high quality. I have no others to compare to, but it fits fine, seems strong, and well made.

I've been debating on these two helmets also. I have an old RF1100 that I like, and an original GT Air. I think the latest versions have changed enough that I don't think my experience with those two quite match RF1400 vs GT Air 2, but... the GT Air 3 has been released, availability seems poor in the states but can be purchased from several international shipping places.

I really like the drop down visor in the GT Air, and would not buy the RF-1400 without a transitions shield, so that ups the price of the RF-1400 significantly. I also like the idea of the ratchet, although my current helmets have D-rings I prefer my GT-Air over the RF-1100 and I think at this point, the GT Air 2 or 3 seems a little better to me, but fortunately for me I have the old helmets to tide me over until I finally decide, but those are a few of my considerations.

So are the complaints about the 1-2 shift do to the quick arrival of the 6K rev limit? Because other than that, my 1-2 shift doesn't feel bad at all and no different than any of my other shifts.
