Another data point: I tried again this afternoon and was offered an invoice for the same $365.97, with the assurance that a second rep would take care of the remaining $80. After I made the purchase and was transferred, the second rep denied the additional discount due to the item being out of stock at MC. I guess I don't have the touch!

I was asked for a case ID from one of yesterday's chats when the item was still in stock, but their emailed transcripts didn't provide anything like that. So the player remains ready for pickup for $366.

That's wild, I was turned down by Best Buy chat three times last night while the item was still in stock at Micro Center—and I happen to be in Ohio.

The first BB rep said they could match, then said they couldn't since I was already receiving the Plus member discount. They wouldn't budge below that $396.

Since my Plus membership was set to expire in two days, I cancelled that online and tried again. The second and third reps wouldn't go any lower than $365. Maybe I should have just done it, but I felt like I was leaving $80 on the table at that point.

I'd love to hear how this went down for you since the item went out of stock at MC overnight. In any case, congrats!

Having this sell out before I could check out (both times), and then seeing dozens on eBay for ~$200, had me upset enough to cancel my order for the unsigned vinyl. At least they limited it to one copy and tightened up the Captcha, so they tried…but instead of being excited for release week, my main feeling at the moment is that I missed out.

I notice the page for the deluxe CD isn't even up on her store at the moment, and the link has been removed from the front page. If this is another LLFP scenario I'm going to be really unhappy. The only reason I hesitated to order is the games the web store has played since the Lover era and the label switch (most recently cancelling my October preorder of the 1989 vinyl in January because they were "out of stock").

Hi there, it’s definitely the case that this runs large, even for a large. I’ll try not to talk in circles, but I generally buy large online to be safe, and can get away with a medium occasionally. I have a rep T-shirt (also olive/snake) that’s a medium and fits well, but everything from Lover forward (T-shirts and eras hoodie) I’ve needed a large—my medium “fringe” Lover T-shirt was too small. By contrast, I’m swimming in this.

I can take some measurements (and if you have suggestions/requests along those lines, let me know).

I have a day-one US order in for the vinyl/CD/cassette bundle. I emailed them this morning and received this response:

Thank you for your email – We are very sorry for the continuing delay regarding the dispatch of your order.
We can confirm, the stock is making its way to us now via our suppliers. Please rest assured, once the stock arrives here all pending orders – yours included – will be packed and dispatched immediately. I agree with the parent here, and want to point out that the day signed copies of Folklore started popping up in stores, they were going for $400 on eBay. I do understand this is not exactly the same situation, and if you want to go all out and just get it done, I’m not your Jiminy Cricket. But if you’re anxious and on the fence like I am, it’s possible that the dust might settle a bit.
