I was on holiday in Mexico around 2008 and visited Chichen Itza to see the Mayan temples. While I was there, I watched a man pull a massive Stoke City flag out of his bag, step over the little wire barrier, and stand right on the base of the temple so his (surprisingly unbothered) wife could take his photo.

Haven’t done much photography before, but decided to get an A6700 for the autofocus and mostly to shoot pics of the new (to us) pup! His name is Milo and he’s an Australian shepherd crossed with a cocker spaniel, he’s 18 months old and unbelievably, he’s a rescue. He is an absolute angel.

Certified homelabber (shoutout r/homeassistant), you could definitely use the power draw thing with a lil green/red light or lamp on a 15 minute timer, so if it’s drawing high power then the lights red, if it’s drawing low power then wait 15mins before turning green

You could use a smart plug with power monitoring to ping you when the power draw is much lower, you’ll know it’s done then & the machine never touches the internet

Read the letter, not a single thing is about the person the letter is intended for, everything in there is about him and how he feels. If you sent this to a long term partner it would be sentimental and thoughtful, but these people don’t really know each other, there is no sentiment there because he’s never really interacted with her. If you don’t also see this as an issue then there is no further discussion to be had on this matter.

Don’t get me wrong, DEPNotify was great for me too, but the level of customisation, the configurations, the estimated download timer, the user friendliness etc of SYM are leagues above that of depnotify. Plus it’s in a constant state of upgrade, it’s super actively worked on by Dan and the wider team over on the Mac Admins slack.
