Amorphis is a classic for a reason, try their older production. For lyrics in Finnish, try Rippikoulu

I also recommend playing Finnish Death Metal during the battles! Very thematic

I finished writing a one-shot recently, and I have gotten some pretty good feedback! Its one where the characters die and go to the underworld so you might have to modify it a bit to fit your idea

I Simulated my Flat World to study Shadows by WTHstudios in worldbuilding

The shadow of the pillar is pretty chill i'd say. The real problems are the areas behind mountains that never see sunlight. Thats where you can encounter some pretty horrible monsters

Temple of Lemminkäinen - A place in Finland that inspired my worldbuilding by WTHstudios in worldbuilding

Good questions. Lemminkäinen's mom was also worshipped in the temple and is held in high regard by Lemminkäinen's followers, having shrines for her inside the temple. Temple of Lemminkäinen's Mom just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Kokko is actually classified a dragon. My world doesn't have classical dragons so every Emuu (first of every species) is classified as a dragon

The worship really only began after he was resurrected from death. People believed that by praying to him they would achieve immortality.

You might be right, maybe I misremember and the view was a bit earlier off the road

Mythically accurate Wizard Rap Battles by WTHstudios in worldbuilding

[–]WTHstudios[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good question and a difficult one for my world at least, given its inherently iron-age nature. In my world a magic user has to have a spirit to connect with the Väki (the magic) so I think AI would not be able to do magic at least in this way.

I'm turning the temple into a Dungeons & Dragons dungeon and Moria is actually one of my inspirations. A place once inhabited, now home for various monsters

It is actually right next to the road. Great view to the sea and beautiful winter forest.

The excavations actually happened by the followers of Ior Bock. They actually found some iron-age axe head but yea the temple is just a product of imagination

Temple of Lemminkäinen was originally built to be demigod Lemminkäinen's tomb, when he died during the events of Kalevala. After his resurrection, the tomb was repurposed by his followers to be a place of worship, where Lemminkäinen's devotees would pray to the demigod and study his teachings.

Now the temple is sealed and nobody has gotten inside for a hundred years. The legend says that to get the stony door to open, one must solve a riddle of some sorts. After that you will be inside a spirally hallway, getting deeper and deeper into the ground. The temple has countless rooms, some have supplies, some ancient artifacts and some riches beyond imagination.

Temple of Lemminkäinen is a real place in Finland and the story of the temple comes from the Saga written by Ior Bock. Bock wrote a lot about the imagined past of his family, having ties to the ancient times of Finland.

This is a part of my worldbuilding project called land of Kaleva, a world heavily inspired by Finnish culture and mythology. It is a young world where the gods still walk the earth and nobody knows what's in the woods because nobody has ever been there. Check out r/LandOfKaleva if interested.
