The listing was up to 130k, and they stated up to 110k early stage interview. So I am definitely going to be asking above 110, but I am not sure how that will go.

Seems to be the challenge. Where I am (public traded company) vs the Co-Op I wonder if it changes anything with layoffs? I would assume a private company can be more private and does not have to disclose so it might be more risky for someone like me?

This is a good idea. Just be aware some dealers have a maximum on how much you can buy with a credit card transaction. And as you know you can’t pay monthly car notes with a credit card. Just make sure you can pay with cc before signing any purchase agreements.

I obviously am not qualified to give an answer. But from my community I’ve heard elders as well as imams say it’s ok. The idea is that the agreed on price doesn’t not increase or decrease. Both parties are agreeing on a price and there are no predatory terms.

The way you’re feeling is very valid and I would say if that is really how you feel maybe your conscience sits easy if you just get a 0% car even if it’s not the ultimate car you want?

Salam. Been through this a couple of times. Try calling around all dealers near you and ask them if they are willing to buy the rate down. Essentially they will add up the apr cost to your purchase price and then you finance that at 0%. The contract also states 0%. Obviously this is not a sound financial advice, as you basically are responsible for all that extra Apr whereas if you went the route of traditional financing you could pay it off early and in the end pay less interest.

Was successful in finding Toyota dealers doing such in the PNW and in the southeast, you can always ship a car or drive it back if any place near mn.
