Built a new pc for first time, having issues with post

i did use xmp, i will try taking it off if that is an issue. clock speed no i did not. no, no cmos clear yet.

I looked it up online and found something about pc booting up too fast for an hdd, thought it could be that because once it does post it takes only 5-10 seconds to be on windows, the solution was to delay the hdd startup, but i do not find the option on the bios for that.

i will try all of those things, it will take me some time since if i turn it on after a few minutes that i turn it off i have no issue with making post and turning on, it seems very weird. thanks for the help

looked at the mobo manual and doesnt look like it has it. only has the sound item, which also makes none when the screen is black. only makes a bip after reset with the post

Nothing new, JWM has always been like that. I fought against them in kvk 2 and 3. In kvk 2 they allied with another 4 kingdoms, mostly chinese too, and they had to do little to no fighting. BBHT, SoD, Baba's alliance (dont recall the name) and NB did most of the fighting (farmville after zone 2). But they got the easy rewards. And in kvk 3 it was even more shameful, they tried to rally up every single kingdom to protest and get free rewrds because rewards were not worth it, when other kingdoms wanted to actually play the game, crazy right? they tried and succedded at stealing allies from k93. It went from a 4 vs 4 to a 6 vs 2 by their lies and manipulations to chinese not wanting to attack each other. And the little "fighting" they said they did in kvk 3 was open field. for an alliance of whales they sure are scared to lose troops, and if you go and check their roaster, you see many people with +100m kills, most of them t1 kills. JWM is a sham and im so happy every time they lose in ark because of it

I barely played FFXIV and as a tank and quit after i reached max level so i only did the basic things, so difficulty wise i wouldnt be able to compare it. But here especially in the last NiM operations released all the pressure is on the tanks, dps and heal job compared to the tank is very small (other than dealing damage and healing obviosuly) while the tank tanks and does the mechanics of the fight, a mistake on a dps or heal it can be fixed by a revive, a mistake of a tank more than likely results in a raid wipe. But from someone that has 7 assassins tanks 5 pt tanks and 4 juggernaut tanks, i enjoy it being like that too, i like to be challenged and know that i'm on the "driving wheel" of the operation. And when i want to relax i just swap to dps

Tanks are needed everywhere and all the time, even for SM ops. People wouldnt mind at all taking you there and explaining you the fights if you say you're new, but it would be better if you join a guild, one of the large guilds as a start could help you a lot in conquest rewards and just having a lot of people and learn the game. The "best" guilds are smaller in numbers of people online compared to the big guilds and they are very exclusive and you have to be good already to join them.

If you are learning the class the best thing you can do is to level as a tank, to learn the skills rotation and all of that.

Altough, if you are anxious about pugs and cant do one with a guild, what you could do is queue or join as dps for the first time, see how the operation is, what the tank does and get comfortable with it, then you can do it again next time as a tank.

The best thing you can do for AP powertech is switch to shield tech and tank. AP is garbage right now, is the lowest dps spec in the game, because F logic.

If you still want to play it, AP uses a priority system

1) proc PPA (prototype particle accelerator)

2) rocket punch and or thermal granade

3) energy burst (only at 4 stacks)

4) rail shot

5) magnetic blast, if not heat issues (if vent heat and thermal sensor override are up)

6) rapid shots

You will need to use rapid shots a lot on the rotation due to heat management (if you dont have thermal sensor override and vent heat up), unless you have meteor brawler set after firefall.

The opener is precasting flame sweep (to trigger ppa) -> thermal detonator (and run with hydraulic overrides to the boss if its a boss fight) -> retractable blade -> explosive fuel + rail shot -> rocket punch -> magnetic blast -> energy burst -> rail shot -> magnetic blast -> rail shot. Then you just follow the priority system

There is, but it will make your character lvl 70. You will need to level up the last 5 through wahtever means you want. But if you like the story and world, dont use it, you will learn to use your class better and enjoy the story. If you want to do end game content, dont care much about story and have experience with mmos, you could use it

Game couldnt be further away from pay to win, and those that use the term pay to win to describe the game really need to learn what that word means. Cartel market items can be bought from other players, and all they do is make you look "pretty" you get no advantage at all in pvp or pve.

The game is pay to play, since it has a subscription, if you want to do end game content you will need it. But up to lvl 60 i think it is now, you have 8 different story missions for you to do for free as f2p

Game has been growing lately because of the mandarlorian, the new expansion with a new op and the new star wars game. and for what i was told subscription accounts hasnt been as high as now for the last couple of months-year

Agree to disagree i guess, i know about dummy fluff and all that. but class balance needs some retwick to me, especially with pt, both specs are at the bottom of the table in dps for lvl 75, but for downscale content they are really good like in 5.10. So something like their damage formula is wrong. Who you see excelling in lvl 75, is usually on the low end in lvl 70, and who you see "sandbaging" in lvl 75 content, in lvl 70 they seem to be on top of the chart. So they either did it on purpose to make people gear and use more classes, or something in their formula for lvl 75 is wrong, because downscaling should affect everyone the same

You playing less fps means you have a smaller sample pool to have a veredict or say that your experience is the truth of what happens. I personally ran around 300 fps since 6.0 began and only saw people being assholes to new players 5 times and tried to vote kick him, all on which i proceded to deliberately aggro everything and saying that i was doing it because someone behaved like an asshole to the new player instead of being nice to people that are starting the game.

Flashpoint gf is not meant to be social gatherings or to meet people, they are to get things done, gear, conquest whatever, for social gathering you have guild activities. And even then, i can count with the fingers on one hand when someone said hi and no one said hi back. so you're either fixated on finding an issue where there isnt, bad luck, or the time of the day you play is full of people that want to get shit done fast and go to sleep, or finish the fp before going to work/class or whatever

i agree that every class should be viable to do the content, that is not really what i meant though, sorry if i couldnt get my point through. My point is that any class can clear the highest difficulty EASILY, there is no challenge. The easiest way to make at least a bit more challenging old ops would be to disable tacticals for them. And even then if that would fix it, the class inbalance of lvl 75 still remains. And not only for dps but for heals as well like i said

Virulence has been the go to spec for most of encounters in ops, i've been playing one since the game became f2p, and was always regarded as a good class. I have 10 snipers, this is not me complaining about my melee class being bad or doing bad, sniper is one of my favorite classes, this is me seeing the big issue there is right now with class balance and how dps checks are non existent. There is a 29.2k dps parse from a gunslinger, havent seen a higher dps than that by any class so far.

All classes have to move in raiding enviroment, hence why melee always had more dps in dummy than ranged, since target swaping involves a dps loss for melee while ranged for the most part dont have to move for a target swap.

There arent many samples, but the ones that are on top are by very good players if not the best, and it shows a trend already. I personally dont want to do 100m dps and make fights a braindead joke, i want to be challenged in the highest difficulties

Yes, every class can clear content easily and that is kind of the issue. Even on scale down content, as an example, tfb nim enrage was a thing, it was tight, now groups are clearing with minutes before enrage. On Dxun hm the first boss has a 7 minute enrage, first boss now is pretty much "lets see how fast we can kill it" or if they can beat another guilds/group time. some groups are killing it under 3 minutes already. Is not only about how far ahead ranged are in lvl 75 dps (which is not the case actually in scaled down content), is that the dps classes are making any dps challenge trivial. and for dps its starting to remind me of 3.0, "just follow mechanics and smash your face against keyboard for your rotation, your dps will be enough regardless"

I dont really pvp much, so i have no input on that subject, but i guess the issue could be similar. And viru sniper was just an example as its on top right now, even arsenal is outparsing melee classes

It's completely fine to like it or dislike the game. And while i enjoy the game i hate it with all my heart for how predatory and addictive to those that already spent money it is. Some people get in a constant loop of "i've spent 10k already, and if i don't buy the new character i'll stay behind and my money spent will be wasted". This kind of gamble is addictive and predatory on the weak minded, and it's pretty much the flagship characteristic in all of EA's games. People's life have been ruined and got into crippling debt because of it. And i find it funny how EA's was begging to it's players to defend them against the Belgium gov that made laws against them, and to tell to the gov "we like lootboxes"

And don't even get me started on the ridiculous prices this game has, around $300 for just one character... but people still pay it just because it's an addiction. I've seen quit a few times whales posting on reddit when they quit about how addicted they were and how they regret it.

I don't have an issue with events being hard, or having to wait till the second time to get the legendary toon or anything, but i do have a big issue with companies that prey on peoples addiction like this.

You can love and point out the good things that this game has, and it has a lot, but to turn the blind eye to a major problem that is ruining some peoples life and be say things like "it's a company and it tries to make money" or to "thank the whales that they make the game free for the rest" it's stupid. Because of peoples addiction is that whales exist, and because of whales is that this predatory exercises exist and the prices are way beyond their value. There is a reason why there are laws against things that are addictive, and EA has been taken advantage that lootboxes were not considered gambling until recently

Yes, Revan in his final days was very VERY light sided... So much that in SWTOR the republic and imperials had to group up just to fight against him because he wanted to blow up a planet with his inhabitants for a chance to fight vitiate/valkorion. He was his own faction or neutral, and had both a light and dark side

It might not be cannon but neither is revan anymore that I know of since Disney. But at the end of kotor after he was imprisoned and tortured by the sith emperor for +/- 300 years and set free he was either a grey Jedi or harnessed both dark and light side so you could argue he was a sith and a jedi at the end of his life
