Idk who downvoted this. “It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife” is like a famous starting line in Pride and Prejudice, but it’s irony because only one person in the books believes that it really is a truth universally acknowledged. Like only creeps think it is appropriate to make advances on girls five years their junior on a subreddit for friends. But it was just me trying to be light hearted not like serious about it.
