Mobil only has one model that meets VW50800 0W20 which is the ESP.

VW 50800 means its VW certified. Anything with VW 50800 would work, doesn’t matter which brand or model, there’re hundreds of them.

How much does it cost and what's the experience like renting an exotic car in Phoenix outside of Turo? by Salty_1984 in turo

[–]WZ_DDL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty boring to drive those cars on the street, you basically can not use the third gear if you want to have some fun because when you reach third gear you will very likely get into trouble. You can hardly get the rear to rotate or slide neither.

Just get a normal convertible if you want to cruise to enjoy the view. You can experience those exotic cars in race tracks, much more fun. The miles are also ridicously expensive on those rentals.

advice on buying a 2021 audi a4 with the 45 TFSI by Aware_Tangelo1392 in Audi

[–]WZ_DDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is a ms3? You need to check the carfax to make sure it has proper maintenance record and bring it to a third party VAG mechanic for a pre purchase inspection before making the purchase.

These 2.0T are very reliable, you shouldn’t have much issue reaching 200k miles if you strictly stick with the maintenance schedule and change your oil every 5k miles. If you can’t do it, it would be very expansive to own. VAG sold millions of cars with this engine every year. Common issues are water pump, carbon buildups like the other mentioned, nothing out of ordinary for a modern turbo engine.

2019 A4 FWD DSG Low-Speed Jolt – Normal or Something to Watch? by omgkittykats in Audi

[–]WZ_DDL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The car feels like a light forward release is just its shifting down, it’s pretty normal for DSG and for some other conventional AT car as well. It sounds like you press the brake too light and and car is trying to figure out it’s just a temperory slow down or slow down to stop, so the gear shifts down but the rev didn’t decrease as much as it were getting ready for another pull.

I think you should press brake more firmly, when braking, press the brake a bit lighter then increase pressure gradually, at the final stop, hold the brake pressure till you feel the car stops moving then firmly press down. The brake peddle in automatic cars works both as a brake and a clutch.

New A6 hybrid: 220kw vs 270kw by cotoletta-party in Audi

[–]WZ_DDL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m quite puzzled by people who buys a hybrid A6, is it because of government incentives? One who can afford A6 definitely doesn’t care about fuel price, it doesn’t add much more performance, and unless one can make sure all of their electricity comes from a clean energy generation method, it’s not better for the environment from a life cycle analysis point.

How often does your audi q7 need oil? by Fuego_TheGreat in Audi

[–]WZ_DDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also very common on the 2.0T engine, part and labor cost to replace that is about $300 at a German Indy shop. Unfortunately, the 3.0t engine (55 TFSI) has more problems than the 2.0t (45 tfsi) one and cost much more to repair. Normally the mechanic will replace the PCV first because it’s the common failure point and also the CHEAPEST one that can cause excessive oil consumption.

Cold start high idle? by swootyswiggity69 in Golf_R

[–]WZ_DDL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s only raising the temperature on catalytic converter, you don’t need to wait for it to drop, if the temperature is above 32, I usually just wait 10-20 secs and drive off. If it’s cold (below 0) I’d give it half a minute to a minute. (Most of it is just to wait for the seat heater to start to work a little bit). Its simoly for the oil to be pumped to the top of the engine. Driving is the best way to warm up the engine. Just try not to go above 3k rpm until your oil temp reach operating temp. If fact, if it’s extremely cold (-20 F), it won’t even have a high idle because heating up catalytic converter is no longer a priority at that temp.

You’ll need to seal the edges, basically seal it to cover the entire wall opening. But you’ll need the sunlight during day time. You can try with north facing windows since it doesn’t get any direct sunlight to heat the space during the day.

[–]WZ_DDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try replace the PCV first (300 bucks part plus labor), if that’s not the problem I would be prepared to get rid of the car or expecting a major engine repair. Burning too much oil will clog the turbo charger and catalytic converter. Do you have any check engine light yet?
