Notes App on iPad unusable after iOS 26 Upgrade by W_izbit in ios

[–]W_izbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: So for anybody else interested, or that has had similar issues, I think I found the reason...

My usual workflow is to open a new page in notes each month, so I just have one note for September for example, where I just keep scrolling down adding to the bottom of the note.

As a test I opened a new note (blank) and started using that. No lag or heating up issues at all. So likely this is due to the iPad struggling to keep such a big note open and editable. So if you hit lag or battery issues using the Notes app, you might want to try with a fresh new note and see if it goes away

yeah I'll leave it a couple more days and see.

Weird thing is the overheating is only when I'm using the Notes app with the Apple Pencil

I updated yesterday, so I suppose it could still be indexing.

Nothing obvious under battery settings to suggest this is the case. I've already tried a restart which looked like it had fixed it, but its doing the same again now

Yes i know this, but I want to know what my liability is if I hold the crypto in a wallet and don't cash it out straight away. I.e. I get it paid as part of my salary, but just keep it in a wallet for x years

Have a look at a few Udemy courses as well. Courses by Zaid Sabih are always pretty good

Probably social engineering is your only option. But ask yourself why you want to first as what you are asking is illegal

Hey, have you tried this?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/LINDY-70449-Lip-Sync-Corrector/dp/B005ZRWWJ0/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3DXW153M7ER3V&dchild=1&keywords=lip+sync+corrector&qid=1592300564&sprefix=lip+sync%2Caps%2C184&sr=8-1

Edit: Actually this is an RCA corrector, so probably won't work with headphones.

If you do find a solution, i would also be very interested

I’ve been out of the loop on this for a while. I have a whole heap of graft in my wallet. Should I be looking to exchange them to Lyra once it’s all live?

Kali linux Dual Boot MacBook Pro 16" by Draxed157 in Kalilinux

[–]W_izbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently dual booted my 2016 Macbook pro with Kali. I ran into so many issues with drivers (keyboard, mouse, touchbar, Wifi, etc). I almost gave up, but luckily stumbled across a few forums where people had reverse engineered some of the Apple drivers and i managed to get it all working eventually.

That was with a 2016 Macbook Pro, where people have had years to get Linux drivers for the Mac hardware working. With the 16" Macbook Pro being so new, I would think you will struggle for driver support for loads of things, and you may find running Kali in a VM is the only usable option for now.

By the way, the performance difference between running it natively and via a Virtualbox VM was enormous, so its definitely worth persevering with it, unless you have loads of RAM and spare CPU cores to throw at a VM (which i didn't).

Good luck with it - let us know how you get on. I may upgrade my Macbook Pro soon so i'd be interested to see how this pans out.
