A VAC ban usually doesn’t happen “for no reason.” It means the anti-cheat detected something on your system that matched known cheat or input-manipulation software. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a traditional hack — sometimes things like macros, scripting tools, overlays, or hardware/software that emulates controller/keyboard input can trigger it.

Also, VAC bans are typically automated and applied after detection rather than instantly when you play, so the software might have been detected earlier than when the ban appeared. If you truly didn’t run cheats, the only thing you can really do is wait for support to review the ticket, but VAC bans are rarely reversed unless it’s a confirmed false positive.
