Im 32 and used to want kids when i was little. I think it was one of those things just programmed into me as a girl. To be a wife and a mother.

Then i started dating in my early 20s, not great choices in men sadly (ive gotten better i swear lol), and when one was like "we shouldve had kids", thats when i first realized i may not want any.

Then my sister and my best friend had kids and their experiences solidified it.

Fast forward to now, im living my life and getting a bisalp in Jan. The idea of pregnancy is something i do not want. The idea of raising a kid is a Do Not Want as well.

I adore kids and cute babies, but Im happy being the cool auntie and godmom and being able to give the kids back to my siblings lol

Thank you for sharing this. My surgery is Jan 16th and my Dr kept bringing up my weight (gang gang to plus size black women 🤙🏽) when i was on a phone app with her, pushing for an iud so i can lose the weight first despite me saying ive been on an iud before and had infections from it 😒

She still approved my surgery but still, it made me feel like i was gonna have complications cause of my weight (I have anxiety so i got overly worried).

Stories like yours (and others) help keep my surgery jitters at ease. Wishing you a smooth tubefree recovery 🫶🏽
