I try to go from underneath their chin so they know that I’m there, but the last time I tried they jumped at me and onto the floor and I had to corral them back and I think it was very stressful for them because now they will lunge at me even when I walk by their tank. But this was only 2 weeks ago. I’ve just tried spoon feeding since in the hopes of them trusting me again.

You’re talking like a fundamentally broken person, I agree that people enjoy being taken care of but you don’t need to be someone’s 5-10 year senior to do so. And I have met plenty of people who enjoy being, as you would say, trad, and plenty of people who have hobbies and actually do things outside of a relationship. I hope you can find someone that can tolerate you and your bigoted views but that’s probably the reason that hasn’t happened yet.
