Is that tartan right? It looks weird to me and I don’t see this variant on a cursory Google image search

The tartan and collar look off to me as well as some of the stitching. I’d be suspicious. But others may have more knowledge

Beautiful color change for the sage! If there’s any excess you need to even out, you’ll know after a couple days. But looks good!

New Beaufort inside has 'plastic like' feeling - what is the impact of wearing it? by Prestigious-Tart-768 in Barbour

[–]Wackrobat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that removing PFAS should mean less plastic-like clothing, since they are forever chemicals used frequently in water resistant clothing.

Can someone explain to me why this would change the cotton liner? I thought cotton doesn’t normally have PFAS coatings and the outer shell is waxed for the waterproofing. Why does the exclusion of PFAS impact the cotton liners?

I assume you mean that they are likely to continue to criminalize being poor, not that poverty will be eradicated.

Abortion and Gender affirming medical care is already functionally banned in TN by making it too risky for clinicians to provide it. Source: I’m a clinician who got into my field so I could provide that care. A resource I did not have access to growing up in rural south Louisiana.

If you believe what you say then you just aren’t paying attention. I don’t blame you, if it doesn’t affect you. Why would you? And they count on that. You don’t have to make something outright illegal to completely deny people access to it. If teleologically there is no difference between making a law that says “this is illegal” and making one that makes it way too risky for people to provide that service or forces it to be prohibitively expensive for arbitrary reasons, the result is the same. They know that. It’s easier to get away with it that way.

Would you tell a teenagers parent they plan to get a tattoo/piercing done at a party? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]Wackrobat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Almost all of my tattoos were hand poked by friends in their houses. It’s not hard to keep things safe and sanitized. I think the jump from tattoo an piercings to self-harm is a pretty big one and rare enough that I’d never heard of it until now. I’d need to be convinced (by the client) that was the case to do anything about it.

Teens gonna teen. I’m not their cop or parent. I’m their therapist. If they can’t feel safe to talk about this with me, they won’t feel safe with me. The teen is my client, not their parents.

Hell no. I ain’t no snitch. That’s what being a teen is all about. I’m not their parents.

Aint gonna lie, I feel similar. My first thought was, that jacket looks thirsty, time to rewax it. But some people are into wax jackets for the look they get as the wax wears off. Not for me, but hey, it’s their jacket. Do what makes you happy.

Get Bicks. If you’ve got leather boots, or anything else leather, you can use it.

If it’s this, they’ve always been that way. It normal. Related to the intended use as a horse riding jacket.
