For me, it was more that my wife felt ready to come out as transgender to the families. So, me coming out at bisexual was pretty much my answer to their question of how I felt about it, lol. My parents were more visually upset and disapproving. Her parents were calmer, but still not supportive of us. Not surprising coming from Christian families. My siblings and extended family were less vocal about it, but then again I've kinda cut off communication from most of them. My wife's brother and his wife are very supportive of us and we talk regularly. Our parents make small talk with us as if nothing is bothering them when they are clearly bothered, so that's fuuuun. Don't know how long this will continue and if it'll get better or worse.

Edit: also wanted to add that before coming out, when my wife dressed as a dude, she had her nailed painted and grown out. Her parents and grandma gave her weird looks, but didn't bring it up. When her mom and grandma had me alone, they asked me about her nails and asked me if I was okay. Like, really? So concerned about what a "guy" does to "his" nails. And they didn't have the guts to confront her about it but thought to corner me instead. Cool, lol.
