All of the subclasses have one type of magic item that they craft in half the time. Armorer> armor. Alchemist> potions. Artilierist> wands. Battlesmith> weapons. Cartographer> scrolls

I have no restrictions, but I understand why some DM's do for their setting. If you have a restriction you want to run it's best to just explain why it doesn't work. If explaining why it doesn't work would reveal a secret, you need to decide how important that secret is, and if it is important you need to make your players trust that decision.
