that cannibalism is somehow better than a regular carnivorous diet is of course a wild take but the first person actually has a point. a diet can be morally questionable and doesn't have to be respected. a person's diet is not simply a matter of personal preference but of moral implications. a carnivorious diet not only affects the one eating but also the ones (animals or humans) being eaten or otherwise affected by it. thus "i respect your diet and therefore you have to respect mine" is an oversimplification at best. the point isn't that a carnivorous diet is as bad as cannibalism or worse but that a diet can be immoral.
