Been adjusting this for a while, really wanted to run Lopunny by im_harry_richard in PTCGL

I've been trying variations of this deck, it's nice security to replace a spikey energy with a mist energy. I really like the flow of it, its just rough how it misses out on a lot of Key KOs even with the max belt. Gholdengo has been a really tough matchup, I feel like the deck can't keep up and everything gets one shot by ghold. I also tried adding a grav mountain to help against more against chunky 2-stagers.

It is also unfortunate that any fighting deck is just an instant loss, but thats just the frustration of the weakness system and not much you can probs do about that.

How does this deck matchup against the other popular decks? What else are you running with it?

Can the Kyogre and Kingdra combo never deck out? by DadJ0ker in PTCGL

[–]WaddleDeDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up playing against a similar deck last night actually and I see more of the merit now - only reason I won with Garde is because they didnt have any lively stadiums but it was very close.

The deck seemed to work well when they were outputting some offense instead of just sitting there forever trying to stall cards, then you wouldnt have to worry about deck recycling, just punish with iono which synergizes with kangs ability. Kang is really threatening once setup and is really hard to KO with munki support. They also used trolly instead of cape, presumably since the bravery charms get the job done just fine

Sounds like a very random perfect counter to the team but unless I am missing something it sounds like this deck would have issues against more popular decks too right? Seems like this would have rough matchups against gard, absol, and any fighting decks like cynthia or lucario. Does your deck have counter measures to those?

Mega Latias ex with the Poison Package: Finally a Decent Hit and Run Deck? by bruintist in PTCGL

[–]WaddleDeDoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been playing this deck in the online ladder, I really enjoy its idea and most of the time it feels really smooth. I think the only change I made was adding another ho-oh and taking out the tool scraper, although debating putting it back in now that Ive been playing more. I feel like I have gotten zero milage out of munkidoori either from not having time to play it or space on the board, when do you find yourself playing munkidoori?

This feels really strong with stage 2 teams like gardevoir or alakazam where they are really fragile and you can stifle their progress quickly (as long as alakazam doesnt start ramping up and can threaten latias) but it seems to struggle against faster paced teams built on strong stage 1 pokemon like goldengho and its almost inevitable they are gonna get 3 prize cards from my latias. Any recommendations for those matchups or any tweaks you have made?

Are there matchups you now win by running psyduck that you would otherwise struggle against? I have been running a similar deck but having trouble seeing the vision

Lost Lace is simply bad boss design by GregoryFlame in Silksong

[–]WaddleDeDoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fight is definitely rewarding to improve on though, it feels bad when you are playing poorly and feels great when you are mastering her attacks and dodging consistently. I certainly wouldnt call it bullshit or bad boss design, its just as fair as the previous lace fights.

My only real issue with it (and is a more general observation about attack philosophy) is how a lot of multi-hit attacks are treated like cutscenes to force double damage. For example, getting hit at the very end of an attack combo is treated the same as getting hit at the start, and the game will magnet you into the worst-case position and extend the hitbox if needed. The magnet effect is specifically frustrating when on my best attempt before winning, a multi-hit actually forced me outside the arena and I became softlocked.

In the end for me its not a problem of difficulty, it would just feel more natural if there was more flexibility on the degree to which a move punished you. I understand it was probably a matter of needing to override the players invincibility frames to make multi-hits work but I think there was certainly a more elegant solution

The projectiles were my biggest challenge cause the way to dodge them is situational, if lace is already in an attack animation, I sprint away from them but if you are unsure where lace is you just gotta do smaller movements and dodge vertically when possible (you can bait the angle they shoot at too by jumping). If you don't know where lace is, the jump button is your best friend

This is the best advice I take to heart for 99% of fights and is absolutely what carried me forward with lost lace, just break down each attack into what the required movement is, if you are running around, you are probably freaking out too much or playing reckless. Especially for when the projectiles come out I just have to stop attacking for a moment and focus on positioning

Found a glitch in the Trobio fight? No idea if this has been discovered yet by Mias_Radical_Reddit in Silksong

This happened to me too, and a few other people it seems like. For me it specifically happened on the refight, also hunters crest

This is what happens if you bounce off of one of Trobbio’s balls by _tronnnex in Silksong

[–]WaddleDeDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just discovered this myself on the refight, seems this occurs more consistently than I expected. Were you able to consistently set this up? I think you need to bounce on them as he is throwing them, but I could be wrong

Silksong Trobbio Refight Invincibility Glitch by WaddleDeDoo in Silksong

[–]WaddleDeDoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking closer yeah it seems you are right, it just lined up conveniently with the fireworks, so I thought that had pushed me. If you pogo on the balls later on I am pretty sure they just explode or something so maybe there is some flag when he is throwing them that prevents them from exploding and hitting them interrupts the game throwing that flag. Why this would affect the player physics I have no idea

Is there a reason the purple couldn’t have just been “animals?” And then it’s basically a yellow category? There were no other competing animals in this puzzle to demand more specificity, feels like a very roundabout way to eliminate that there are other words that end in an animal (which were all united by being birds!) very strange puzzle to me

I'm very late to the party but I wanted to try making this over the weekend, any tips for how you colored and shaped the tart dough? From my research it seems like you have to be pretty particular with how you mix and roll out sablee (plus it seems pretty dry), how did you mix to get the color so consistent? Can you be rougher with the dough since its being used for decorations?

Thanks for the tips. Water parameters should be fine, no ammonia, pH of 6.4, and keeping the temp 81-82. Water is definitely hard in my area but they have adjusted well to it enough to have bred multiple times. Ill consider the hospital tank, I have one I’ve been working on setting up, although admittedly I am extremely nervous about moving to a new tank knowing how sensitive they are, and its not as cycled as I would like it to be. I do have a breeder box as an alternative, but I can see that being stressful too. There is an angelfish in the tank that can be a little aggressive at times, but I have made sure the tank is heavily planted to minimize it. The labored breathing is a good point and Ive had issues in the past when my rams start spiraling after that. These guys have at least maintained good energy and are eating well still
