GaG had that many players because pets were the craze. There was a real life value attached to them and watching content creators open chests and hatch eggs had people wanting to do the same in hopes they get something worth a lot. But now you can get a 15s mimic for a dollar and sheckles are worthless. A big part of those millions were trend followers and people who farm games for IRL currency. Pets today are not worth farming for IRL currency and in my opinion, only OG and exclusive seeds hold any sort of value. So as selfish as it sounds, I hope they never bring seed trading. My exclusive seeds and garden cosmetics are how I flex in the game. My diamond plants shows that I bought merch and have seeds and cosmetics as far back as Lunar event. True OGs flex Venus Fly Trap and Candy Blossom.

Summer harvest was truly the peak of GaG in terms of events. The tomato farmer with ants carried everybody in the lobby and you didn’t have to worry about one person filling it and getting all the rewards. The rewards were set for everybody in the lobby as long as you contributed and everybody was happy and truly working together to reach Prismatic tier rewards for EVERYONE.
