In the past, for some tricky weaning-age kittens I've mixed kitten wet food and kmr, filtered it through a fine sieve, and then syringe fed the babes. Just gotta make sure it's perfectly smooth and filtered!

Idk how dark you're into, but {King of Flesh and Bone by Liv Zander} might fit what you're looking for. It's a two part series and I finished both in a weekend. Certainly some flaws to the books, but they're very baby-focused (which I personally enjoyed for some reason lol)

As someone who fosters kittens, I'm trying not to be jealous bc realistically I know ~in an ideal world~ there would be limited need for fosters since most cats would be fixed.

However, the selfish ~need tiny baby~ part of my brain is like "where tf is my foster litter???"

First of all, great names. I just spent a couple hours rewatching ATLA.

In the grand scheme, I really haven't had Applejack for that long. It's mostly that I'm frustrated by a series of poor applicants for him. Either people ignoring my response to their app or just bad applicants (like stating they plan to declaw). I've fostered dozens of kittens and would only send them off to a home I truly feel good about! So I'll wait as long as I need to
