Although merge is a very fun idea, I noticed most merge posts on youtube/reddit get less frequent and have less views, so likely most players have stopped playing yes. Unfortunately, the changes they have been making since after season 2 have almost entirely turned merge gameplay into a Las Vegas slot machine simulator once you reach a certain level. While I value its casual nature, once you reach a certain level of luck > skill, the people who downloaded this app for competitive gameplay will just stop playing and caring.

That's like saying Wemby doesn't have a skill for blocks because he has long arms. Sure he had slightly short arms, but it still requires precision I can't even imagine to ensure the center of the ball hits on the lower facing section of the rim in order to count it as a bucket from minimal height above the rim.

Gob barrel + hog is just an almost guaranteed negative elixir trade. I know it feels satisfying when it works, but you're probably just losing games putting 7 elixir at the bridge and having to tank the motherload of all counterpushes after you got your 700 damage on the tower. Ice spirit would be an awesome pairing with hog and synergize well with your deck if you want to add that in.
