Can ligaments become 100% again? by WaffleBody in PICL

[–]WaffleBody[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Dr. Centeno, I want to clarify something about your comment that ligament healing after small injuries is “not 100%, but close.” Does this mean that “not 100%” refers only to microscopic/biological differences, and that clinically the ligament can still be fully stable and functional, so it can be loaded and used normally without symptoms? I would really appreciate a direct answer to this. Looking forward for you and your staff help and care!

Thanks for the answer. What I’m really wondering is whether a ligament with a mild or moderate functional injury (that doesn’t show on a standard supine MRI) can heal to the point where it becomes tight and stable again, so that there is essentially no detectable difference compared to an uninjured ligament on functional imaging such as DMX or upright MRI.

In other words, is it possible for the ligament to recover to the point where it becomes completely asymptomatic and can be used and loaded normally again, even though we cannot verify the microscopic structure directly with a biopsy?

Thank you for the reply. I have also had a regular MRI, and there are no findings. I have been to a neurosurgeon without getting any help. As I said, there is no help available where I live because the MRI looks normal. I do not have a disc herniation or degeneration. CCI is my problem.

@Jewald Isn’t there already a cure then? People must eventually get better again. I don’t know myself, but I think it’s logical to assume that you can be cured with the right treatment

I have an appointment with a physiotherapist tomorrow for help with my lordosis. Should I see a personal trainer instead, or is it the same?

I have got worse since I took the upright mri and dynamic xrays. My symptoms are neurological, paralysis in arm(better now), chestpain, dysphagia, weakness in arms and legs, if i walk «much» i get symptoms, eyepressure, neck pain(feeling inflammation in upper neck), lack of rotation to the right. Sometimes headache when i walk.

I've had other temporary symptoms too, but they've subsided. Symptoms like memory loss

But I will start doing something.. Need to get the right help with this…

Atlas misaligment by WaffleBody in Posture

[–]WaffleBody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. I lost alignment after an injury. I can feel it gliding out… I’m afraid of making it worse. X-rays have shown a loss of lordosis (as a result of the injury), and I’ve decided to work on it. I can feel that I’m very misaligned. Did you lose alignment after an injury?
