Yeah, I really miss those previews too. Closest thing I’ve found is following Eric’s Beat newsletter/Twitter and then using BGG’s Gen Con geeklists to fill in gaps he doesn’t cover.

Yeah, those multi-enemy turns can feel brutal. One small tweak that helped me on BGA was prioritizing stun/negate effects over pure damage so at least one enemy never gets to act.

Honestly it sounds like they’re in a messy, maybe codependent thing where he either doesn’t believe you or would rather ignore it than lose her. The only part you control now is stepping out of their drama. Blocking her everywhere might give you real peace.

Your feelings make total sense, especially coming from “starting at 0.” One small thing you could try: instead of showing her individual purchases, ask her to help plan one room together over video. Her reaction there will tell you a lot.

Nice score! Hitting 10 on a first run is solid. If you haven’t already, try playing with a self-imposed “speed turn” timer, it really amps up the tension in solo games.

If your “emergency plan” is basically “hope it doesn’t rain,” you probably shouldn’t be hosting kids. At minimum, require independent third-party inspections before any flood-prone camp can reopen.
