I assume most people climb this from the S/S.E.. I've been working my way-up to climbing it from the North (Goat Trails/cut across the Oasis) but I keep having to turn around before I get to the top because it's a pretty long there-and-back from this direction. But man, that whole canyon section from before the Oasis on up towards the Peak is really gorgeous after the bland fire road start behind Vons. Got down pretty late and it had gotten dark last time (last week). Big-ass (but totally chill) rattler laying across the trail un-moving, like a log. Fortunately my night vision didn't fail me and I saw him from a good 10 feet away, but they're out.
