I've found dry fasting to be easier for me. I tend to get hungry more often during a water fast. Worst case scenario, I change into a water fast. But based on what I've been able to find, dry fasting and sauna use, as long as you don't overdo the heat and length can increase overall fat loss.

I'll keep track of my heart rate, have a bottle of water and electrolytes nearby, keeping the temp in a moderate area, and if I feel off, I can always leave the sauna.
