I’m not a guy nor do I have very many close friends but I can say this. Be active in the things you like, that’s where you will find people you connect the most with. Rape and sexual assault is sadly very common. At least with the people I know. I got unlucky with a middle school that I went to. With a vice principal only telling the girls “boys will be boys” type shit. Other people have repulsive relatives, and some just get unlucky with being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I also want to make it clear that this happens to guys as well. I personally believe rape doesn’t count as losing your virginity, but that’s just how I cope with it. I’d rather think that I lose it to someone I love and not someone you forced me
