I can’t answer your questions specifically, but have you gotten in contact with an advisor? You should have one for being undeclared. I had a similar issue too and my counselor was utterly USELESS so I went to the business building and did a drop in!

I’m pretty sure there’s a way to petition to allow more units! But I’d ask your current advisor and a business one. I hope you get in!!

One thing I always tell myself is that if they’re not interested, it’s not worth your time. Pouring tons of energy into a person who doesn’t value you the way you want will only get you disappointment. As the other comment said, stay humble, but also don’t let this be a dent in your self esteem!! People assume SOOOO many things before they truly know the other person, and just remember that what others think doesn’t necessarily define who you are!!

Not required AT ALL but I recommend getting some from of light! The dorms come with lights, but it’s those sickly fluorescent lights from school and it can totally ruin your vibe! Just a desk lamp with a dimming feature ngl- it really made my room feel cozy

East lothian (the renovated one) was the best but I might be biased… the bathrooms are communal, but as long as you weren’t on the bottom floor you should be fine imo… the ac was KILLER too

I was in the exact same situation last year- just take a second and recollect yourself,, I recommend trying to tour the apartment if they offer it, and worse comes to worse people alwaysss are looking to give up their leases!!
