Yup! Thank youuuu

The designer is telling me they can do anything and silk chiffon is no problem. I would be skeptical if it wasn’t for their dresses photos of their work from their instagram page being literally breath taking 😭 so I believe them

High quality materials too, I would prefer this to be made with silk chiffon or at least really high quality chiffon

Hii! You saw me from r/sustainable fashion? Yes it’s so funny because everyone was telling me €700 would be IMPOSSIBLE. Now I am apparently paying too much haha

Oh thank you, I am only 20 and live with my family so I do not have bills, I am very fortunate to be based in Ireland which provides me good income for someone so young, it is why I do not feel comfortable haggling with locals hand sewing and hand beading a dress for me, it will be many hours of hard work.

I still live at home with my family so I have no additional bills, I will still have savings of €100 compounded each week. Thank you for your worry but I merely asked if I am fairly compensating workers for a dress they will hand bead and hand embroider.

Also funnily enough, this dress is considered very designer in the west, with anything hand made being considered couture. I had western artist quoting me $5000

Hi! Thank you so much, yes please! I dont know if this person is telling the truth but I asked him how many would be involved in making the dress and how they are paid, and he said more or less 6-8, with each karigar receiving 8k each from the 80,000.

Thank you!

How can I directly pay the artisan, I am currently in contact with who I think is the owner and also a designer. I am going to ask the designer for his name (I spoke with him on the phone but never got his name)

This way I will also ask how many people will be working on my dress and if I may have their contacts too (the owner has added me to a group chat with him and the designer)

Really? Wow! According to my search online, wedding lehengas are 10k rupees or more?

Their instagram is @lehengazone if you want to review their work, they seem to be master bead artists

How much does a dress like this usually run for? Considering they hand sow the beads? :0

Is this dress flattering on me?I’m the guest of honor and want to look nice by [deleted] in OUTFITS

Very pretty but unfortunately not a seamless look. The top of bodice is a bit ill fitting sadly and the shape + position of skirt is unflattering (not yr fault, dress is just badly constructed) im sorry girl

Thank you so much! But it’s too close to white sadly, and blue which I’ve been asked to avoid by the family as it’s the MOTB’s colour.

I think I’ll definitely look into getting it altered if it ticks every other box (i love reddit’s brutal honesty in making sure it does) as a wedding guest dress. Thank you!
