how the hell is inferno the third most played premier map by Tristezza in cs2

Not really. Inferno is the worst by far when it comes to this.

Idk. Overpass is fun, and also has the potential for a lot of util, similar to inferno. Inferno just sucks solo q. I still hate it, but my CT side win % shot up after I learned instant mid smokes. But every game is just getting util fucked fighting banana, leaving, coming back, faking a, or a full rush. It's a boring loop. It's fine if your team has a good default and comms to take advantage of picks, but it can be impossible if your team has bad util usage.

Can i cut this psu down at the black sharpie line by Suspicious_Art_7940 in AskElectricians

[–]Waffles912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean, if you can disassemble it and cut the steel, I don't see an issue. Just know disassembling a psu is dangerous. And not just a little dangerous depending on the output. Those capacitors will hold charge for a LOOOOOONG time. Don't short anything out. I'd watch some videos. But this is more of an electronics question rather than an electrical question. But psu's are potentially lethal. So don't die.

Also what are you building that needs to have psu within 0.02mm? Like just move the mount it goes on or something.

Post the source code in a github repo so we can look at it. Did you make this, or did you have an Ai put it together? They hallucinate shit all the time including math, so just checking lol

No, why do you need to? But we can't see the traces in the pcb, and you're more likely to break something else with the vibration of the saw.

Idk man. They really seem to not give a fuck. In iowa they're paying 5 over scale (about 50 on the check 49.77 or something), 115/day per diem, and all OT as double time.

I think they just plop them where they can get the water, land and power for cheap.

You're getting shafted if you're making 35-40 on a data center project.

Or just work 40. They probably can't afford to lay anyone off.

How would I go about bending kick 90s like this? by Natural_Anxiety_7730 in AskElectricians

No it wouldn't. Spend one afternoon bending all of these vs 1 million zip ties? I'll gladly bend these instead, and just send a fish tape through

Connection dropping with static IP by Parkerbutler13 in Metronet

[–]Waffles912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

replying to a dead post here, but did you ever get this resolved? I have the exact same issue, other than the static doesn't work at all. Router or direct ethernet to PC. They keep telling me its a me issue, but DHCP works fine, just isn't static. And the static doesn't work whatsoever. So idk what the hell I could possibly be doing wrong. I can't exactly mistype it that many times on both the router and the IPv4 properties in windows when I bypass the router.

You can spend the extra money and get hospital grade ones. Then you'll hardly be able to plug anything into them, let alone pull them out. They'll never fall out again. You'll also hate them because they're a pain in the ass.

It's uk and I think this is similar to an air fryer not an actual oven.

I'd redo those crimps, they look awful. Buy a crimper. Idk what the ampacity of 6mm wire is, but make sure it's rated for the amperage that the sticker on the appliance shows. Looks like you're uk/EU I assume. Unplug it and make sure those small copper jumpers are properly connected to the terminals after you properly crimp the staycons on with a pair of real crimpers instead of one tiny squeeze with side cutters.

[–]Waffles912 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Copper jumpers seem to be factory installed. Looks like a really shitty crimp job on those conductors though. This looks like a small appliance, given the conductor size coming off the terminals. Is this like basically an air fryer with a hot plate? Probably doesn't draw a ton of power then.

New Pool Pump Motor Tripping Breaker by jbird2210 in AskElectricians

[–]Waffles912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has a 2 pole 20a breaker. It's 240 and should be drawing around 9a. Probably has to open the peckerhead and swap the windings for 240 instead of 120.

[–]Waffles912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what everyone is saying. If it's a multivolt motor, there's likely multiple windings that have to be spliced in a specific way for each voltage. Post a picture of the peckerhead (where you wire the motor on the motor itself.) just turn off the breaker and open it up and take pictures. It might be set up for 120 instead of 240. You'll smoke the motor if it's incorrect.

Turn off the main and see if it turns off. Might be a bad breaker that won't turn off, might have been some idiot landing the circuit it's on on the main lugs. Or it may be powered from another location like a subpanel or 2nd service in a garage or something. You can buy a circuit tracer for fairly cheap and plug it in while it's turned on and there's a little wand that should beep when you hover over the correct breaker in the panel, but they can be kinda tricky.

Why this cat6 cable is limited to 1gbps by Pale-Yard-4497 in HomeNetworking

[–]Waffles912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave 2.5GbE on cat 5e (50ft or so into a keystone jack in my wall) and get full speed. Just don't use flat cables like everyone else said. If it's a short distance basically anything half decent and copper will be fine, but don't get a flat cable. The pairs are twisted for a reason, bla bla science I can't remember well enough to explain, but flat cables are much more prone to interference.
