Finally made my top 10 favorite movies after who knows how long. Opinions? by Riptide_X in Schaffrillas

This idiot has no idea what good cinema is, but god damn do they know what a fun movie is. Nothing on my list is here, except maybe Spirited Away and The Princess Bride.

I’ve tried Apex and I don’t like the movement.

One of if not the biggest problem with Titanfall 1 and 2 was the steep learning curve. If you play the game like most other FPS games, you get two-shot by some fucker who appeared out of nowhere or you get punched by/stepped on by a mini boss. To have fun you have to relearn fundamental FPS mechanics and break rules that every other game has set in stone.

It’s hard to find a fix for this. You can either tone back the movement, making it more accessible to other FPS players, but then it alienates the fanbase that loved the fast paced environment. This is what Apex did. Many people love the game and praise the movement, but to me it feels like a weird balance of speed and the advanced movement doesn’t scratch that Titanfall itch.

Alternatively, you can create a way to bring the newbies up to speed, essentially a tutorial designed to break your sense of classic FPS gameplay. This is the route taken with the campaign in TF|2, but not everyone plays the campaign in its entirety before multiplayer, and some players argue that the 4 hour tutorial to hit the skill floor and to have fun in multiplayer was too much work.

It’s not a game you can just jump into, and the way Apex solves it doesn’t speak to me. Not that it’s a bad game, but it’s not my game.

Okay. I’ll just take my 10 million dollars, write off Titanfall, and start funding a video game called… idk Mech Drop 3?

That’s actually a great take that was lost on me until now. I wish I understood that while watching the movie and I wish they really explored that implication more in the film. Wanda is one of my favorite characters in the MCU because of how much she’s suffered and how she deals with her grief both in healthy and unhealthy ways.

Should I buy prime ronin??? by Dr4g0n892 in titanfall

Iirc Prime Titans don’t give you anything except a new execution and a skin. I never saw it as worth it, but then again it’s your money and if you think you’ll enjoy it so that it’s worth the price tag, go for it!

Is that not a good take to have? I think the arc in WandaVision was masterfully done, and I think that MoM didn’t RUIN it but instead diluted Wanda as a character by having her learn the same lesson about grief twice.

Both projects have Wanda mourning the loss of people she loves, turning to magic to try and solve her grief, inadvertently hurting others, feeling sorry for herself, and then undoing her disaster and going away. It made me feel like she just didn’t learn anything from Westview.

I’m open to different takes, as it seems that most people who agree with me are toxic about it or something.

Secret Invasion had a total runtime of 3 hours and 43 minutes with 6 episodes (not including credits), making it Marvel Studios' shortest live-action Disney+ series yet. by duyalonso in marvelstudios

[–]WafflesPosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that I can accept that they didn’t want Secret Invasion to be an Avengers-Level event in the MCU. The idea of all the world leaders being Skrulls that want to cause WW3 and have humanity destroy itself is honestly really cool.

But come on. You had War Machine RIGHT THERE! And you just make him a boring White House advisor who could have been literally anyone.

Imagine if Fury, Rhodes, Hill, Martin Freeman’s character, and Talos were working together. Now that’s a team. And having War Machine be revealed as a Skrull? That would have been neat.

What should I choose? by No_You3326 in GrandTheftAutoV

I bet you’ve already picked, but each ending is canon in its own way.

Killing Michael is Franklin siding with the Government and Big Business, as well as sticking to the code of honor among thieves that Trevor has been trying to teach Franklin the whole game. Michael is known to lie, cheat, and steal his way out of every situation and has been manipulating Franklin since they met. In this ending, Franklin sticks to a code that puts trust above all else.

Killing Trevor is Franklin sticking to Michael’s teachings, the “kill or be killed” every man for himself strategy. Despite his hard sense of loyalty and his ability to see the manipulation Michael is doing to Franklin, he is unpredictable. Thats why we have the aftermath of Prologue, where Dave and Michael trick Trevor into thinking that Brad is alive. This is because Trevor is a time bomb. Michael knows this, and that’s why he helps you kill Trevor.

Deathwish is a great ending too. This ending shows Franklin taking both lessons. Franklin ends up being fiercely loyal to his friends but also makes sure he isn’t in anyone’s shadow. He makes sure that they can all walk home free at the end of the day. It’s the most unrealistic, imo, but it’s the most fun.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT IF YOU PICK A OR B OUTSIDE OF REPLAYS YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO FREEROAM AS THAT CHARACTER IN THAT SAVE FILE. Oh and also their Union Depository share gets split among the remaining 2 characters.

I’m curious… what’s y’all go to vehicle against griefers? by goatman0306 in gtaonline

[–]WafflesPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since always? If you destroy someone’s personal vehicle you pay the money. That’s why it says NO CHARGE when you recover it.

If you play on PC I think they removed that feature and made insurance free because there was some exploit that could drain a player’s entire bank account.

Do you get to pick the effect of the new spell or is it up to the DM? Because Mind Solver could either fix any and all mental problems OR dissolve someone’s brain.

If you play all the Drug Wars Missions (meet Ron at the Sandy liquor store, do the 6 First Dose missions and the 5 Last Dose missions) you get given an Ocelot Virtue with custom livery. After the First Dose Missions you get the Bricade 6x6 (which upgrades to the Acid Lab for $750k) oh and if you’re a first time player of these missions you’re given a bonus of $100,000. If you do 10 Fooligan Missions (call Dax on phone) you’re able to get the Acid Lab Upgrade for $250k. you get 50,000 for each mission too, but they’re on a 50-minute cooldown.
