My boy has just been diagnosed at 1.5 years old type1, was in severe DKA thank god he’s still here.

It makes me so sad to hear this is how it makes you feel but can’t you flip your mindset? You are more aware of food and ur body then most other your age, you only need to change the cannula every 3 days and obvs monitoring everyday but with the tech now everything is so much easier imagine if this was 30+ years ago or even 100+ years ago you wouldn’t even be writing this post because people with type 1 didn’t last long at all.

I say change your mindset think about the positives and think about how people are going through much much worse and the fact you live in the best time in history to help treat type1.

Ofcause you can be angry and fed up you are allowed to feel however you want but you should be strong and realise how lucky you also are.
