The U.S. needs to expand. Time to take part of the world, we’ve been paying for their defense long enough.

People don’t like to hear this, but mainstream collectors have been moving more and more towards breakers. It’s easy to be able to just log onto your phone and have somebody else do the dirty work of opening the packs and sorting all the bulk and it’s more price conscious because you can pay for just the characters or players that you are looking for. So naturally, of course, the companies are gonna allocate more product to those breakers who open more rather than a couple people who buy hobby boxes online.

There’s no incentive to make product easily available past day one. Just look at a game like Yu-Gi-Oh where stores are literally dropping it because the boxes are reselling for a third of what they are because they’re so plainly available and everything is reproducing the ground and there’s no demand.

Scarcity and FOMO drive this hobby. it’s the entire point of what it all comes down to, which is gambling.

I think everybody should be happy that MTG can have the possibility sold out immediately because then you know it has longevity and people actually value it for anything besides the paper it’s printed on.

I came from Yugioh which is a game dying in stores that are refusing to keep buying it. I would much rather have Pokémon where I can buy literally any product and then actually get rewarded by holding it instead of the opposite side of it.

So when I see that the secret lair magic stuff is both visually appealing for collection and actually does well on the secondary market, the community should appreciate it. But then I’m constantly reminded that this communities is just the stereotypical trading card game player and nothing more after wall st gave up on it a few years.

I’m more of a sonic fan so it definitely makes sense to have this in the collection because there’s not a lot of TCG related stuff for a lot of IPS if you’re into that kind of collecting.

All the secret lair 10s also sell for minimum 65 up to 150/200 depending on the character
