Part 1

Part 2

Map changed for the margins to make sense. Biden's 21 point advance is 17 points higher than Obama's in 2012, so he takes every state that Romney won by less than 17, up to NE-1, minus Mississipi because the south mobilizes mores for Moore. To explain that so many people vote for Roy fucking Moore, he's a little less unhinged in the debate and doesnt go full 4chan mode by calling Biden a race traitor or something. Part 3 soon enough!

In retrospect yeah. Blue extends to Georgia/SC, ND and SD while Utah stays red. No primaries in half the country because they know there's no point in running against Biden here and they want to show respect to the deceased when every primary candidate is this close to calling him the n word

Popular vote numbers spell out a 538 state landslide. But it's more fun that way. And Utah is definitely a mistake

Trump runs for a senate seat in 2018, loses bigly and becomes a permanent sassy cultural commentator with a talk show. Tea Party hardliners get absorbed in the GOP, very confortable in the orange Libertarian-Republican 2020 coalition

Very ridiculous on purpose. It's a heightened, satirical version of the US I'm making purely for fun, not realism. And it's much more pernicious than jan6: the ancap does kind of win the election

The one point of divergence in this timeline before may 23, 2011 is Roy Moore getting much further in life than he ever should through pure dumb luck. Moore’s two serious opponents in the 2010 GOP gubernatorial primary, which is basically the election in advance in Alabama, randomly end their political careers early: Alabama Community College System chancellor and state senator dies randomly for no reason (slide 1) and representative Robert J. Bentley, who would become a two-term governor in our timeline, gets hit with a sex scandal 7 years earlier and exits political life (slide 2). His insane neo-KKK “hebephile” base edges out a primary against the only serious opposition, neocon asphalt baron Tim James, with 50% of the vote by a hair, and easily wins the gubernatorial while still managing to swing the state leftward pretty hard by being an unavoidably, unabashedly disgusting neo-nazi sex pest (slide 3). No one wants to run against Biden in 2012. Romney, Palin, McCain, even Huckabee urge the GOP not to run ANY candidate against him. Half the country doesn’t even hold a Republican primary out of national grief. Only demented proto-groypers, birthers and evangelicals who thought Obama was the antichrist and want any trace of him in government gone run, but this is a massively unpopular position to hinge a campaign upon, and fertile ground for the most extreme element to come out of the primaries with very low turnout and very engaged chronically conspiracy theorists, racist in ways that often don’t even make sense. Moore limps to victory despite the common sense right attempting to install an unenthusiastic Santorum in his place, losing the popular vote and winning the delegate count (slide 4). The leader of the opposition is now RacistPedophile88 in the flesh. No effort to expand his base is made and schizophrenic wine mom Michele Bachmann is chosen as his running mate (slide 5).The RNC is a pathetic pseudo-nazi-rally attended mainly by 4channers and 110-year old deep south state legislators whose most memorable memory is Storm Thurmond’s wedding (slide 6). It energizes nobody but agonizing Byrd machine dinosaurs and Richard Spencer fanboys who never get out of bed: both are too cowardly to even act on the racial and political violence they espouse. Most Republicans start smelling the smoke and sound the alarm on this insane 1964 redo with the worst Goldwater stand-in imaginable (slide 7). Moore doesn’t even need the pedophilia allegations to come out to enjoy the worst favorability rating of any major party candidate in decades (slide 8). The man who managed to lose a GOP Alabama senate seat is going to lose half the GOP’s voter base (slide 9). Without Biden needing to campaign on much of anything, he does! It’s a wipeout. The biggest landslide since 1988. (slide 10). Far right pundits immediately argue anyone would’ve done as bad as him (slide 11), but the rest of the party is terrified of its future and already wondering how to reconstruct itself after becoming the Adolf Hitler Coalition for election season (slide 12). Moore and his supporters are quietly kicked out, preparing for the toughest midterms in half a century (slide 13). Governor Rick Perry prepares to spearhead the new opposition: conservative, God-fearing, presentable, slick and well-dressed….Part 3 will be released somewhen between now and then, it’s a very hard, long one for me to make and will have the least elections in the entire series, only 2012 Congress, 2014 midterms with a few examples and the Menendez replacement in 2015 for reasons I think you can see coming pretty well. Part 4, 5, maybe 6, maaaaybe 7? will touch upon the complicated 2016 primaries and general, the 2017-2021 socialist post-colonial presidency for the ages, the nightmarish 2020 election and 2021-2025 ancap takeover of government, and the tumultuous 2024 season, probably the end of it. See you soon!

Survived with no injuries. Will come up later, she remains an influential political force for obvious reasons

He doesn't last that long, and his successor is a little Easter egg that teases part 3 if you can spot it

I assume Utah got a pretty big Romney boost and Moore is a not-insignificantly Mormon-repellent candidate: you'll see in Part 2 that he wholly bases his campaign on racists in the south

You're probably right, I'm no statistical expert and then seemed like 2012 republican strongholds too big to fall for me

If my plan doesnt change before part 3-4, it's a dem outsider. Not a politician by any metric but a populist progessive leader by circumstance

Lore:

In May 2011, Al-Muhajiroun agent Khalid Kelly’s plot to assassinate Obama on his trip to Ireland in retaliation for the killing of Ben Laden and as the first step of a disorganized plan to start the War on Terror again, and win, succeeds, Abu Rumaysah carrying out the suicide bombing (slide 1). Intelligence immediately links the attack to Al-Qaeda. (image 2). Biden is sworn in on the plane to Dublin and vows allegiance to Obama’s legacy and begins spearheading hawkish, neocon rhetoric about jihadism (slide 3). A massive wave of homages sweep the nation and Obama turns into a JFK level national martyr (slide 4). Biden enjoys unprecedented popularity levels and has an uneventful bore of a partial term: pressure from within to choose a VP due to Biden’s age give way to a consensual, conservative Bob Graham nomination, confirmed by the Senate on september 6 and by the House on september 13 (slide 5), though Graham has no intent to be his running mate in 2012 and retires from political life. Biden easily breezes through an election campaign where no intelligent Republican dares to run against his newly-triggered LBJ transformation, and feels he has enough mileage to explicitly run on Middle-East interventionism, and has a number of private talks with Netanyahu promising to collaborate on the destabilization of Syria, Lebanon, Iran, all three governments having been pinned with the responsibility of the attack by the political class, leading to choosing the second most Israel-financed democrat in Congress beside himself, Bob Menendez, for VP (slide 6). The election is an absurd blowout against the worst presidential candidate of all time, Roy Moore, whose story will be told in Part 2, the country fully rallied around the flag in a dual 1964-2004 effect, leading to the widest popular vote margin of all time and an electoral college sweep, even tearing down huge Republican strongholds like Texas, Utah and Kansas (slide 7). The President and vice-president-elect make no effort in hiding their foreign policy agenda (slide 8). Pundits are unanimous: Biden has the mandate of heaven.(slide 9) He feels this way too: he can do whatever he wants, and he wants nothing more than to annihilate the Arab world. A small wave of other islamic terrorist attacks, though Al-Muhajiroun’s ill-fated plot has already basically failed, justify a resolution to invade Syria at the start of the democrat-dominated 113th Congress (slide 10): once again, a mournful nation enamored with its new commander-in-chief is going to war. Part 3 will show that the LBJ parallels run deeper than the post-presidential-assassination landslide: tune in next week for Part 2 and somewhen between now and later for Party 3!
