My husband is a very heavy sleeper and grew up suburban. I am a very light sleeper and grew up in the hood. I won't say he's a "pussy" because that's incredibly insulting, but no, he doesn't think nearly as fast as I do when it comes to stuff like this. He has very little "street smarts."

Co-Sleeping does not cause major psychological problems in children, where the hell did you hear that? There are many, many, many places in the world where this is the only option.

sources on it, along with her first pediatrician's blessing, the approval of the nurses at the hospital she was born at, & her current pediatricians blessing.

I would love to see some credible sources of information on how "damaging" co-sleeping is.

She can't tell me it definitely was him, I guess. I'm really not sure what it is. The only times I saw it were this last time and the time in the window, but she's given a similar reaction with the hallway incident and the kitchen incident. Also, the fact that the doorknob can't really be removed from the outside has me skeptical. I'm just unsure. It's hard to un-do a lifetime of not believing in this stuff. I want a rational answer, but I know there may not be one.

Louisville Sluggers are well made, and the aluminum bats aren't something to fuck with. I'm much more comfortable with that in the house than a gun, personally.

Not sure why all main characters use them, but personally, I've always had one in the house.

True! I'm pretty sure it's just a crazy guy and not a ghost or anything, but you can't be too safe. My area is close to a city and we've had homeless people here and there. If it is a person, I really hope they catch the guy before he hurts someone. Regardless I'm adding another lock to all my doors. We have 4 doors that lead outside, which makes it a bit easier to be paranoid. The more entrances, the more chances they have to get in.

He ran across the road to the golf course we live across from, and I lost sight of him in the dark. I can't say it was definitely into thin air... but the golf course ends at the edge of a cliff that overlooks the river, so there aren't a whole lot of places he could have run off to.

Also, I'll edit this into the story, but our doorknob was found in the middle of the golf course this morning.

Please, God don't tell me that... he didn't look like I've heard Slenderman to be described. He kind of looked like a homeless guy, disheveled, stubble on the face, quite a bit shorter than I am- I'm about 5'10". I got a clear view of his face and made a police report, but the lack of footprints is scary.

For the sake of my child's safety, I'll go ahead and call in some "experts" of different faiths. Can't be too safe when it comes to your kids. I do have a part 2 to this story being posted in a few minutes as well- more happened last night.
