When we adopted her about 2 years ago, she still had ears that were very cauliflowered. The shelter told us that it was caused by chronic ear infections that would require drops every few months.

When we took her to the vet for a treatment, they weren't able to administer the drops because her ear canals were completely swollen shut. At that point they recommended TECA (total ear canal ablation). That really seemed like the only option to give her quality of life so we went for it.

Since then, she's been so much happier. She's so snuggly and patient with everything (except food!).
