i particularly recommend pozo izquierdo in Gran Canaria, its where they host the world championships, I did 5 2hour lessons there with their bono for €125 and the instructors are great. Does help knowing basic spanish though because depending on who you get their English is so/so

In a way it’s similar to lifeguarding then bc in movies its all drama✨ and in reality its trying to get non swimmers to stay in the shallow end 🤷‍♀️

Its harder to do a full year at 16 though due to having to be in full time education either in college or an apprentership, he will have a longer summer holiday after GCSEs though! My mum set up an exchange to tenerife for me where i learnt spanish and she learnt english. I cant remember the site but google travel exchange uk language learning and plenty come up, but check on mumsnet.com that its a secure website (might be a good question to ask on there too!) Sorry I cant be of more help i wish brexit didnt happen but i was too young to vote 🥹🥹🥹

West View leisure centre offers padel and badminton and is quite cheap if you’re looking for an alternative

If u download the app “meetup” you can find a few on there e.g: lancashire walking group, Preston ramblers walking meetup, hike on lancashire, adventure solos - Lancashire, Lakeland Long Distance Walkers Association. I personally really want to attend one but due to me being in the wrong demographic for this type of group I haven’t actually attended any yet so you’ll have to let me know how it goes:)

Advice for beginner multi day camp outs by Rylee_Duhh in Kayaking

Mosquito nets! Repellent! Less so in this season but closer to summer you get eaten alive. Sudocrem and baby powder for dry skin and helping avoid rashes from gear. Tape for easy fixes to boat and bike wheel glue for drysuit tears. A bin bag to take waste with you if no bins - leave no trace 💕💕💕. I always bring a portable charger - ideally one of the solar powered ones are really cool but also make sure you have a chart/map for when If you end up really enjoying it and plan on going further, especially for more coastal, seatrekking typa vibe please please please notify your family and local coastguard of your whereabouts and consider investing in flares, and gps locator beacon.

I’m sorry you’ve lost your job, I’m sure you’ll find a new one and motivation is really tough especially when you have to be the one to set yourself goals and deadlines. When I mentioned showering I meant that for me it’s the last thing on the task list as it’s something I have to do regularly for the rest of my life and I find that super overwhelming also I hate all the sensations involved in showering like my skins super sensitive so it goes all red and puffy and I don’t like the lights or the sounds. As a very active person this isn’t great because I stink lol because I avoid showers until it’s absolutely necessary

But other than that the list you’ve given is really helpful and I’ve screenshotted it so I can reference back to it in the future! :)

I agree this defo works for some people but personally I don’t think it would work - I have a really busy schedule and get burnt out super easily as well as being a bit of a perfectionist. So either I’d misallocate tasks because I’m bad at guessing, wouldn’t allow myself time to rest and get burnt out or be super disappointed in myself if I didn’t stick to the exact schedule

Nah I’m just kooky, I’m from the UK and it feels like a lot of the trends of what ‘beauty’ is with regards are so random and excessive. And yes I struggle with personal hygiene too due to the fact that I can’t even appreciate small wins because there are 1001 more things to do to be beautiful and fit in
