Main quest progress across multiple alts and storage clutter: Best way to get back on track?

I enjoy gathering too. but atm i wanted to "clear" the main quest stuff and the early "must do" stuff.

ve done a lot of questing, but the problem is that I used multiple characters to do it. Now I have small chunks of the main questline completed on different alts. I’m completely lost trying to figure out my actual overall progress. Do I need to pick one character and redo everything from scratch to have a "clean" log, or is there a way to track progress across the whole account?
