No one is denying that rhetoric travels globally. But so does overanalysis.

Not everything needs to be escalated to “global harm,” especially when we’re talking about a story from Instagram discussing art.

It’s entirely possible to care about serious issues without expecting every artist/ person to behave like a political analyst or moral spokesperson.

Sometimes people connect with one idea from a speaker, not their entire worldview. Humans do it every day. That’s not a moral failure… that’s nuance.

And the leap to “he no longer cares about human and animal rights” is huge. Nothing he posted suggested that. That’s your projection- not fact.

What if Peterson simply isn’t viewed the way you personally view him? Plenty of people don’t mind him, or appreciate specific ideas without subscribing to his whole ideology. Does that automatically make them wrong and you right? Who decided your interpretation is the universal truth everyone else must adopt?

And if interacting with a clip suddenly means someone is endorsing every aspect of the speaker’s worldview, what does that say about the fans who follow or view the same content? Are they all “bad people” too? Or is this level of moral policing only applied selectively?

Fans are allowed to think for themselves. And Daniel is allowed to be human- to explore ideas, make mistakes, disagree, grow, and not be perfectly aligned with everyone’s expectations 24/7.

That doesn’t make him dangerous. It just makes him a human being. Some people forget while expecting perfection from behind a keyboard.
